If he does actually retire (I think he might go for #50 if hes offered enough money) then fair play to him, hes had a great career and walked out on top at the age of 38, can't fault him really, and tbh I'd rather him retire now if his heart isn't in it. If hes genuine about hanging them up (it looks like he is, but money talks) then I wish him a happy and healthy retirement.

Whether he is the best ever is a matter of opinion. There were fans and media figures in every era of boxing -- from the Sugar Ray Robinson era to the Muhammad Ali era to the Sugar Ray Leonard era who said that those fighters weren't TBE. They are saying the same thing today about Mayweather.

However, no one can dispute the fact that Floyd Mayweather has accomplished more in boxing, from the amount of money he has made and helped other fighters to make to the amount of publicity that he has garnered for himself and the sport, than any fighter in history. Anyone who disputes this is a fool!

        manny pacquiao

        - 7 or 8 weight world champion (floyd hasn't got this)
        - FIRST 4 weight lineal champ
        - 3x ring and bwaa fighter of the year (floyd hasn't got this)
        - 2000-2009 ring and bwaa fighter of the decade (floyd doesn't have this)
        - turned pro at minimumweight will most likely end his career as welterweight

floyd will go down as the most overrated.

Don't worry! If Bayless never works another fight, there are plenty of other referees who are available to waive off the fight the next time Pacquaio gets knocked out!

HBO fired Larry Merchant right after Mayweather went to Showtime.

Oh boy. Now its an IV scandal. lol.

News breaks on May 22 about the so called "IV Scandal". People don't post about it after May 25 cuz its a nothing story. Thomas Hauser publishes a story biting articles from May & now we got an "IV Scandal" again. Maybe this time people will post about it a few days longer before its a nothing story.
