Comments Thread For: Mayweather: There is Nothing Left To Accomplish

Floyd Mayweather equalled Rocky Marciano's perfect 49-0 record and then confirmed that now was the time to quit - because he has nothing else to accomplish.

The unbeaten pound-for-pound king, 38, showcased some of his brilliant best in easily outpointing a game Andre Berto at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

Pundits and rivals in the welterweight division said before the fight that they believed Mayweather, the highest-earning sportsman in the world, would carry on to go for the magic 50-0.

Mayweather: "There is Nothing Left To Accomplish"

There was nothing accomplished. Unless ducking and track meets and PED use are considered accomplishments. Total fraud, fooled a bunch of fans, and nothing more. Good riddance chump. Enjoy your coke parties and your millions. You'll be back soon, when you're flat broke with zero friends.

And no, I'm far from jealous. You'll go through some serious nightmares before you croak off. I won't. Life is good on this side of the fence. I don't need yes men, women to beat up, PEDs to do a fight, cherry picking to win. I pay my bills, have some money left over, and enjoy life with my lady. I am happy as can be with none of the excess baggage you've created for yourself.

There is an old saying, the moth is attracted to the light, not the light to the moth.

Its why athletes can never hang them up. Its hard to let go of all of the attention when you are so young.

My guess is it wont really be drugs, but lots of really bad business decisions and investments, and even MORE throwing money around.

People act like its impossible to spend the money he made. Michael Jackson was pulling in $200M a year, and still was perpetually broke.

People are fooling themselves if they think Floyd can't blow that cash in a few years. Especially since he himself probably thinks its more money than he can spend.

A great fighter yes. But his career will always be tarnished with the discussions of him not fighting the best at their best and of course this new IV discovery will do nothing but add further scrutiny to his achievements.

The best ever? No, the best fighter of his era? Yes, but in the same vain not necessarily the most accomplished of his era, that accolade has to be given to his contemporary Manny Pacquiao.

when you can't count or read you probably have no concept of anything. when someone tells him floyd you have spent 90 percent of your money! it basically sounds like this to him "floyd you have blabbity blabbed your money"
