I don't like Floyd but thought it was a decent night of boxing to be fair.
Stuff I enjoyed:
Berto putting in some effort
Berto, having quite clearly lost, still congratulated Floyd and didn't ***** about a rematch
Jack vs Groves
Stuff I found irritating:
Mayweathers daughter
Mayweather pretty close to a stoppage but choosing to run the last 10+ seconds of the fight.
That thing he did at the end where he fell to the floor
Bayless having a go at Berto but not at Floyd for elbows, low blows etc.
Groves being a ***** and running out the ring.
Groves not working on his stamina
Low blows? that'S a terrible reach, I didn't see anything low in the fight except the one Berto landed right on the cup!
When fighters are in close and u put ur arms up to protect urself but ur opponent still somethers himself into it and holds u behind the back with one hand and tries to hit u on the top of the head with the other one, this is not a thrown elbow, that's using ur forearm as a guard, an elbow is a foul when it' THROWN with intention of connecting and doing damage, not by using it as protection.

I said the exact opposite! I asked how do you expect a 38 year old man to fight the same way he fought at 27? Plus Berto at this stage is bigger stronger, faster and better than Gatti, I was saying this cuz people are complaining about the fight tonight and they expected that total domination and destruction like in the Corrales or the Gatti fight, and of course the reason being that Floyd is held to an unrealistically high standard because he's just too good, and even when he lives up to the standard haters find reasons to discredit him.
It's all good though, time for the new crop to shine.
Floyd is the only boxer in the history of the sport that never ages. He's always in his prime. Forever young. That is the standard those that can't stand him hold him to, not realizing they are living proof of his greatness. In a 20 year career you can count on one hand the number of times Floyd has been staggered. That's brilliance.
If my life were pathetic enough. I bet I could dig through the post histories of all these "he ran" clowns and find pre-Pacquiao posts talking about how Floyd's legs are gone, Algeri moves better at this point in their careers, etc. #irony
We can say how we believe guys like Ali, Jones, Leonard, Robinson, and others were better than Floyd but Floyd is the only one with enough sense to get out before being washed up and taking beatdowns like some great fighters have done. If he stays retired, he can be one of the few that did not stay in the sport way too long. Kudos for that.
Floyd was lucky enough to fight in an era where they were able to sell hand picked opponents for almost every fight and get away with it.
I've always been mad at Floyd for having a career as bad as Roy's without any of the flash or excitement, while screwing his opponents out of any chance they ever had of winning in contractual terms and stipulations.
He kind of deserved to go out on a low note, with a dark cloud of doubt cast over his careers legitimacy.
