Mayweather looked great, he'd still be able to rule the welterweight division for a few more years if he wanted to but I don't blame him for leaving the sport right now. Brilliant career for a brilliant fighter. We're not going to see such a dominance like that in a long time, for better or for worse.

I don't like Floyd but thought it was a decent night of boxing to be fair.

Stuff I enjoyed:
Berto putting in some effort
Berto, having quite clearly lost, still congratulated Floyd and didn't ***** about a rematch
Jack vs Groves

Stuff I found irritating:
Mayweathers daughter
Mayweather pretty close to a stoppage but choosing to run the last 10+ seconds of the fight.
That thing he did at the end where he fell to the floor
Bayless having a go at Berto but not at Floyd for elbows, low blows etc.
Groves being a ***** and running out the ring.
Groves not working on his stamina

He did not fight berto the way he fought gatti. I will not allow you, or anyone else, to try to rewrite history. Not gonna happen. Best of our generation? Maybe. Great fighter? Sure. Hall of famer? Absolutely. But do not attempt to rewrite history.

All I know is that mayweather ran,clinched,used illegal elbows, and managed to turn in possibly the most boring fight of his career. This was no "masterclass" and it was certainly no "art". It was an aging fighter,going up against a handpicked fighter who was 3-3 in his last 6 fights,and he still managed to get tagged all night by berto's jabs,and he ate a few overhand rights. Of course the *****s will start a circle jerk for the next 2-3 days,but at least this is the end of such a crappy era. Good riddance.

Congratulations Floyd.....truly great fighter and the greatest defensive fighter I've ever seen....that includes Pernell and bhop. The best and greatest fighter of my generation by a long shot. I'm proud to say I had the privilege to watch him live cause we aren't gonna ever get to see it again.

but I fail to see where that's a bad thing? that we aren't gonna see the "defensive wizardry" (lol) again... I like clinching with women just not into seeing boxers make a style of it.

I'm so glad for Floyd, going for that career ****.
What a beautiful fighter, he's so healthy and rich now. He did so much for the sport of boxing as well. So many great numbers!
He had way too much skill,
I mean to honestly get away with both Guerrero and Berto as PPV events.
I will always have the memory of Floyd just being in such competitive world championship fights!
