He is also walking guys down more so that is a slower fighting style and could just make him seem slower since he isnt moving as much anymore
Id say it was about the same speed but you dont really know because Sharmba basically laid on the ropes you know?

I loved Floyd for his speed and his accurate punches, I dont want to see him slow down to reminiscent of Roy Jones.

I know he says 154 is the limit but I think 147 should be, I mean he started his career at 130 a lot of guys who begin at 130 dont have success usually at 140 so he has been blessed so far. Floyd looked his best in the Gatti fight with his speed which is why I think 140 would be good.

I gotta give Floyd his props. I thought he fought the best of Zab tonight. Though I rag on Zab, I think at his best he is an A fighter. I thought there was going to be an upset for a minute but I guess not. I would have to say that this fight has brought up the stock of Floyd in my eyes as a fighter. I still want to see him againts other A fighters out there. I can't say nothing bad about Floyd tonight. He did a great job of finding a way to win.

I agree and he has always been a small guy. Even at 140 when you see the other fighters, he looks way smaller then them, so you know he will look even smaller at 147 where he cant even make the weight limit, and at 154 he would look like a kid. You still have to give him props for trying it. Thats old skool stuff like Ray Robinson

I think Antonio Margarito would be a great opponent for Floyd Jr's next fight. Hope TOP RANK and Bob Arum make it possible, and the fighters come to an agreement.

Ohh yeah I would never discredit Mayweather. Being a big fan and a bigger critic I just think 147 isnt his playground and if he fights Hatton at that weight it could be danger. To me Hatton is the only guy at 140-147 to be a serious threat and I would hate to see Floyd get ousted because the fight is placed at 147 when it easily could be had at 140.

I wont hold it against Floyd if he doesnt fight Hatton because I truly DO NOT expect it to happen especially since he is chasing DLH. Margarito is supposedly the next fight up according to Arum which would be a good tune-up before DLH as Margarito would have the size advantage to give Mayweather experience leading up to the fight.

But really the only fight out their that is super huge is Mayweather vs Hatton I just hope it isnt at 147.

I don't think Floyd is slower, I just think he has adopted a more efficient style of movemnet which allows him to slowly walk an opponent into a corner and go to work. It is a more offensive, pressure based approach in which his defense is based more upon reflex than constant movement. This is why Floyd always looks so much stronger than any opponent, especially Judah tonight, in the last 6 or 7 rounds. He simply does not expend nearly as much energy as he once did dancing constantly in order to avoid getting hit.

He did looked like the best out there from the fifth round and on.I do think 147 pounds is to much for him,zab looked faster than Floyd for the first 4 rounds IMHO even scored a KD but the referee didn't called zab caught him with a right hook coming inside,he stumbled and touched the ring with his glove it was a clear kd but he wasn't hurt. After the 4 floyd completaly dominated,I saw the fight 1,2,4,12 for zab and all the others for Floyd. He was at 146 pounds tonight so to fight at jr-middle he will need one of two things A) hang with james toney or B)bring stones on his g-string for the wheight in

I thought Floyd looked really good. Zab was really good in the first four rounds. Mayweather started to adjust, and I think Zab lost his focus. He stopped using his left hand, and stopped moving his feet and Mayweather started landing more shots. Mayweather is great because he can adapt in the middle of a fight. I was really surprised early on, because I thought this was going to be a beat-down from Mayweather. Zab seemed to get tense once Mayweather started to find his rythm. I think Mayweather could have started better, and I think Judah could have finished stronger. All in all, the fight was much better than I was expecting. Judah was not desperate enough in the late rounds. He should have used his left hand more, or at least kept his feet moving after pumping his jab. Jabs don't really work if you throw them and then stay flat-footed in front of your opponent.
