Not sure about that one... Seems like Adonis is a better boxer than most think... Ask Dawson, Bellew, Fonfara and Cloud about it... Thing is you don't want those body shots destroying you inner parts, so you have a lot of body to defend... So yeah, Kovalev is a better overall boxer, but don't deny Superman... He's more accomplished than most think and could end it pretty fast... BTW what do we know about Kovalev's chin ? Pascal bullied him with a couple shots and those were not Stevenson's caliber shots at all...

Pascal barely moved him,and he was landing flush on kovalevs chin. If anything,Stevenson should be worried about kovalevs power after getting dropped by fonfara and getting ko'd by boone. As for body shots, kovalevs drops people with jabs to the body,so Stevenson has his own body to think about.

Stevenson ducked two of Kovalev's title defense opponents:

Hopkins (ranked #1 at the time, Kovalev was #2 then)
Pascal (ranked #3 at the time)

Stevenson has never had a single title defense against a top 3 light heavyweight.

Everyone knows that Stevenson is, basically, a one-handed fight (people sleep on his use of an effective range jab, but whatever); that has changed in forever.

Hasn't stopped him flattening 15 of his last 17 opponents he beat (dropping all of them at least one time). You add that Stevenson is comfortable off of the back foot, while also being longer than Kovalev, and people are overlooking the parameters of the fight.

WBC is not credible - they put Molina in their top ten before he fought Wilder.

The Ring, Boxrec and Transnational rankings are better.

Personal bias aside, Stevenson is a real threat to Kovalev. Whilst I still have Kovalev winning by KO, this is a dangerous fight for both men, both have power to hurt combined with their own vulnerabilities.

Watching Kovalev bury that clown would make me very happy, I hope I get to see it.
