He wasn't, HBO had rights to his next fight.

All this is ****** anyway, the writing is on the wall. Stevenson is going to fight nobodies until the WBC forces him to fight his mandatory, whether it be Alvarez or Chilemba (likely Chilemba) and I don't think he beats either.

Karpency looked like me when I'm being escorted out of the bar at 2am.

I understand Haymon signing was a business decision. If he wants to make that decision and sign with Haymon, then fine. But don't act like Kovalev is ducking you when it's pretty obvious that isn't the case.

Sergey and Adonis' promoters already agreed to everything and they just had to win their next fight. Adonis knowingly made a decision that, while he has every right to make, ended up disrupting the fight. And had trouble negotiating with other fighters afterwards as well (Hopkins/Pascal).

Does Adonis really believe he is preparing himself to fight the Krusher by fighting these 5hit fights??

Kovalev v Stevenson will happen at some point in the future but neither fighter has strong name recognition among the general public so they are trying to build that. Sooner or later they will decide it isn't going to get any more lucrative and the fight will be made. Time is on Kovalev's side since Stevenson is the older fighter.

Give Karpency his credit, he was competitive the first few rounds and landed some good, clean shots of his own. Stevenson just hits like a mother****er.

Kovalev would knock Stevenson out in like 3-4 rounds.

Stevensson is way too one-dimensional to hang with Kovalev.

You don't think Stevensson beats Chilemba?
