Comments Thread For: Hunter: Andre Ward Will Be Best Fighter, Not Pacquiao

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - On Tuesday afternoon, the soon to be retired Floyd Mayweather Jr. sat with the media and answered questions regarding his post-boxing future, he was asked for his opinion as to which fighter will become the number one guy in the sport. Mayweather took a minute to think about the answer and then surprised a few people when he named his May 2 opponent, Manny Pacquiao, as the guy who will sit on the throne as the top fighter in the sport post-September 12.

Best fighter in the world fighting on undercards or BET. You can only milk those Kessler & Froch wins for so many years.

Is this a Joke you have a guy who fought at 178 in the Olympics and is campaigning at 168-172 as a pro had you had confidence you would have started at 175 and been a cruiser by now. The guy is over hype he just fights smaller guys than him and he can't even knock them out

Hasn't lost a fight since 12, olympic gold medalist, and lineal champion is all hype? Then what do call GGG?

As far ass him going down in weight after the olympics I could've sworn everyone does, (except those who don't turn pro until their late 20's). Didn't Tim Bradley fight Ward at MW then turn pro at JWW?
