You don't rehydrate after dehydrating? He lost 3lbs to make weight and added 1 1/2 lbs of saline to help rehydrate. Perfectly simple, not hard to understand.

That's not what I'm getting at . If you only had to rehydrate 3lbs you would just drink water

              It's f**k all 3lb

There is literally no excuse / need for a iv injection

The thing that gets me about this situation is that historically, Floyd is not known to cut much weight (if any at all). When Floyd fought Ortiz at 147, his unofficial weight was 150 while Ortiz's was 165. If you look at Mayweather's history of unofficial weights, he regains anywhere from no weight to 3 or 4lbs.

IV's have seen significant use in boxing and MMA (before USADA put the kabosh on it recently), but it was used by guys who were undergoing MASSIVE weight cuts (15, 20, even 30lbs or more). Weight cuts to the point where a an IV was medically required to rehydrate these guys. It's hard for me to believe that a guy who cuts maybe 5lbs at the most requires and IV to rehyrdate.

So that brings in the main reason why USADA has banned IV treatment: that it has been used to quickly clean the system and mask PED use. Was that what Floyd was using it for? Or is he a weight cutting "rookie" who feels he needs an IV even though he really doesn't cut much weight? Who knows. It's very su****ious though.

All that being said, I believe Mayweather beats any version of Pac, because he was the superior in-ring talent.

                    For sure man, agreed 100%.

The only thing I can think of is that maybe at Floyd's "advanced" age he doesn't want to take any chances with rehydrating, especially in the biggest fight of his career.

It's also been suggested that, because an IV is more effective than orally taking in water, it better hydrates the cerebral spinal fluid that protects the brain, leading to a decreased risk of brain injury. Floyd has been talking a lot about his fear of brain injury recently after seeing Roger's decline, so maybe that was something on his mind. Who knows.

IC, i like ya, you are one of the few tolerable hardcore floyd loyalists, i suggest you log off and stop fighting this.

just take this as a loss and walk it off. this is getting embarrassing larry merchant level.
