Lol, whoa, wait a minute now. I'm reading Smith has losses and GGG doesn't?

Yeah, guys Smith is not all that and all...but losses may happen when you fight guys like Lara, Mora, Jacobs, Molina in their prime. Hell, Wolak, Bailey, Bundrage, Estrada...that doesn't sound too far off from GGG's resume with those last 4 there, a couple of more wins against that level of opponents, and there is a carbon copy of GGG's resume. Next is Vanes too. I mean Smith is far from a superstar in the ring, but his losses, they happened cause he fought dudes much better than him and also in higher weight classes than him. He lost to some good prospects like Julio and Guerrero, that ended up being journeymen, but let's not act like GGG is crushing elites here. He has no losses cause he's fought no tough fighters outside of Murray. Let's see if he still has that 0 after fighting guys like Lara, Ward, DeGale.

Those guys are no better than GGG comp, except Lara who'd still be a 10-1 underdog. Jacobs just made the MW top 10, he was a green prospect facing Smith

Nobody here gives him a chance, GGG haters best hope is he makes GGG look bad in winning. Hell even his manager doesn't think much of his chances

I don't see any way he wins. Hell Lemieux has a better chance, a punchers one

You listed zero fighters in GGG's weight class. So I ask you...

You are being generous to Lara with those odds. 10-1 against him going more than 6 rounds with GGG would be more like it.

Lemieux is an underdog too, no argument about that. But his power means he does have a chance of winning, and his aggressive style means it will be an exciting fight, while it lasts.

Hopefully, Vanes beats him decisively so we can hear less of his opinions.

Which is why Smith rejected an offer to fight Lemieux in December 2010.
