    It's a solid fight.

Provodnikov (while a 140lb guy) is a big puncher with a great chin, but he's very limited in every other department. That makes him a fighter who, while dangerous, can be easily outboxed. Algieri outboxed him for long stretches, Matthysse outboxed him....its just a case of what happens when he lands on Khan's chin.

I'd favour a Khan decision, but would not be remotely surprised to see him getting knocked out.

I don't see what this fight with another 140lb fighter is supposed to prove to the welterweights other than Khan is not prepared to risk his whiskers on a fully fledged welterweight.Another hand picked limited fighter it only shows what we know already Amir Khan talks a great fight but then fights nobody.....why bother moving up.
If Khan fights this very limited opponent it only shows they are not prepared to risk him with anything real and there after Khan should just keep quiet , this kid and his 'team' are a complete joke.....I only hope this some how backfires for him ....Amir Khan = Walter Mitty

It was actually factual. Chaves is a higher ranked WW than anyone Khan has faced at the weight.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Alexander ranked #10 when Amir fought him?

Amir tried to get a Pacquiao fight, but Roach prefers Garcia. Not his fault.

Maybe because Provo is not a domestic, club, English, paper champion? Just a thought

Nice, this should be an exciting fight. Amir's speed will create some problems for Provo I believe, but Ruslan has that ability to caught his opponents sooner or later.

Khan is fighting his Kryptonite, anyone else doing the same? To give you an idea.

Floyd's closest thing to Kryptonite would be Lara.

And why not as Garcia absolutely wrecked Amir Khan .I don't understand why you think Khan has a right to fight these superstars , he needs to fight top welterweight contenders and provodnikov is neither.....what is it you don't get here ? or are you just another blind Khan worshipper ?

Provo isn't exactly the creme de la creme. He has lost 3 of his last 4. He is just hard hitting and durable as hell. Khan should be able to easily outbox him. Why not fight a WW with skill and Power? Thurman and Brook come to mind.
