? if Khan is "crazy" to fight Provodnikov.... then who exactly should Khan be fighting?

aside from Provodnikov being very tough and having a bit of pop, lets look at the pros from Khan's end of it

    1. Another 140lber ... yes Provo has fought at Welter before (vs Bradley) but he's done more of his work (and picked up a title) at 140

    2. Coming off a loss. Just like Algieri, Ruslan would also be going into the fight with Khan off a previous defeat

look Ruslan has his positives, and comes to fight but he's a bit of a plodder and doesn't adapt too well when guys give him movement/jab

Khan wouldn't take this fight if he didn't think he'd be able to win. Ruslan will land, but on paper I'd have it 70-30 in favor of Khan

I would expect Khan to win, but Provo to make it tough for Khan, potentially drop him.

Look for Khan to cut up Provo's face from the 2nd round.
Look for Khan to get caught early with a Provo bomb and the fight is over.

What a night of Boxing...Bradley vs Rios on HBO and Khan vs Provodnikov on Showtime.. Epic night if they can finalize Khan/Provodnikov.!

Hopefully, Khan has realized that fighting featherfisted no-hopers leads nowhere.
I'm glad that he'd be fighting someone with legit power but it feels like a lateral step rather than a step forwards. Provodnikov is in the same level as someone like Algieri. Maybe it's just me but I don't feel that Thurman is this killer that people make him out to be. I think that's a winnable fight for him, Brook and maybe even Porter and one that he should consider taking.

all risk no reward, atleast with Thurman the reward would be worth it

              Yes...all the real punchers.

Maidana (5 years ago) Molina, Diaz, Collazo, Alexander, Algieri.

              Huge firepower, right there.

I like the fight and would favor Khan (more than most here) over the distance.

The appeal is that this is a make or break fight for both.

One more defeat on either guys record and their career is basically over.

I'm still not 100% convinced Khan would take this fight.

Not a huge fan of this fight. Probably the easiest big puncher that Khan could face and I don't expect Provo to land much anyway.

Another light welterweight who lost to Chris Algieri what is the point , Khan is just a clown ....why ever did this idiot move up in weight to then keep on fighting career light welterweights ....this guy and his team are complete frauds !
I just hope one of these no hopers he is fiddling about with knocks him TFO and out of the game completely , can't stand the sights of this one.
