I kind of feel sorry for the Floyd fans who are taking this hard.
Drugs tests, Memo, Ariza, CW's, weak opponents, everything they have mocked over the years has come full circle and landed on their door-step, and they don't know how to handle it.
Yeah you're of fan of his, but don't take it so personal.
He messed up, and when drug test talk come up in the future...Floyd's name now has a black mark next to it, when Pacquiao's in reality doesn't.
It is what it is. Nothing will come of this situation, but it's shady as hell and he's taking heat from it and rightly so. His excuse is dehydration when obviously a 750ml saline IV took at home without an official TUE is not what you do when you're 'dehydrated' from what..losing 3.5lbs in 2 weeks?
It is what it is, you don't have to make excuses for him. He's broke rules and it's on him, It's not a slant on you or yours.Comment

Dang! The haters were waiting to jump all over a news story like this one!!
Still doesn't compare to someone who requested shoulder numbing drugs minutes before the fight after falsely stating on an official medical form he didn't have an injury prior to the fight.

Here's the ORIGINAL story which happened on May 22nd:
Mayweather also applied for, and was given, a the****utic use exemption (TUE) for rehydration purposes after the May 1 weigh-in. He took two separate mixes. The first was a mixture of 250 ml of saline and multi-vitamins. The second was a 500 ml mixuture of saline and Vitamin C. He was urine tested both before and after taking the solutions.
Also on top of that, he and Manny were blood & urine tested immediately after the fight!
Based on Yahoo's article, the question is why would the USADA do a PISS test before and after an IV infusion, when the infusion is meant to mask the BLOOD VALUES??? Wouldn't the infusion beg for a blood test?
Apparently if TMT hires USADA to be their "Olympic Style" testing organization, and pay$ them $ix figure$ in$tead of their u$ual 4 or 5 figure$, they'll te$t clean every time or get an exemption to $quash irregularitie$.
Travis Tygart operates like Al Haymon, with no transparency and availability to answer immediate & direct questions, hiding in silence until the damage control propaganda department can formulate and spin their best answers & rationalizations for their spokesperson to spew.
It's gonna be interesting to see how this all plays out.
It's funny how I'm able to keep saying this in various threads, but once again...
AIN'T KARMA A B1TCH!!!
Smoke screens and illusions tend to eventually get exposed by the TRUTH.
'Nuff said.Comment

Anyone want to take a wild guess at what the narrative will be for Showtime on Saturday? I know if it were HBO they'd crucify him all telecast, but I feel like Showtime is too loyal and feel themselves obliged to be part of the damage control.Comment

Right. Both the NSAC and USADA had ample time to reject the request.
If anything, this serves as notice to Manny and other fighters that they can have IV drips administered so long as they provide a detailed report of the procedure and sufficient time before the fight for it to be reviewed and accepted or rejected by the commission and/or the testing agency.
