floyd should never have been allowed to use iv therapy. no excuse. it's prohibited unless for a medical emergency then it must be in a medical setting. and usada giving out tue's like there nothing and not informing nsac until after the fight and after the fact is completely corrupt.

    truth is:

floyd used saline injections to mask illegal substances and usada was complicit to cover everything up.

Hopefully this will be the end of USADA. The Erik Morales fiasco should have been, but this is much bigger.

I don't even know what this Tygart guy is thinking. Is he ****** or what? Doesn't he know that the sport of boxing is a very contentious, polarizing sport? Doesn't he know that favoring one side would put you in trouble? He's in the business of showing fairness to protect fighters. Of course, he's bound to get exposed sooner or later.

        What was he thinking?

He was just seeing dollar signs, I reckon.

USADA should have just been paid by the fighters through the state commissions, with everything going through that channel first. It shouldn't be left to reporting on their own accord. That is how things like this slip up.

Story causes full blown conflict between NSAC-USADA

            --Floyd fans now
It went from flat out denial, to 'ah well that's on USADA', to 'who cares, nothing will happen to Floyd'.

His fans will always move the goal posts for him.

Posters who have spent years on the 'clean up the sport bandwagon', today have suddenly decided..'meh, it's not that important'

For sure. They should of been kicked into touch after the terrible way they went about the Morales saga.

They don't even use CIR testing, and as Conte said “If you’re serious about drug testing, you do CIR testing.”

So who is supposed to get sued here? USADA granted TUE to TBE for a prohibited IV procedure, while Pacquiao's request for a legal substance was denied by NSAC. This is clearly favoring one boxer to another.

Can we expect someone getting punished for this or just see the same people getting away with their corrupt practices?

Lance Pugmire's article...interestingly, the article says there's been three incidents with the USADA:

Yet, Bennett and commission Chairman Francisco Aguilar sharply disagree, explaining the Nevada commission has not adopted the World Anti-Doping Agency codes prohibited methods.

Bennett said unless the IV was administered at a hospital, it needs to be cleared by filing a the****utic-use exemption, or TUE, and supporting documents through the Nevada commission and authorized by the commissions medical expert.

He cannot have it done at his house and [USADA] cant authorize it.... I have specifically articulated and memorialized to USADA that [NSAC] is the sole authority that can authorize a the****utic-use exemption for a fighter in the state of Nevada, Bennett said. USADA never told us prior to the IV that they had their own TUE, and they never kept us informed about it being administered.

If they think they can do what they want, where and whenever they want in the state of Nevada, they are grossly mistaken.
Aguilar said he was the first commission member notified by USADA of Mayweathers IV treatment, and it didnt come until three days after Mayweather defeated Pacquiao by unanimous decision.
Bennett and Aguilar said despite USADAs involvement in 45 boxing cards and their supervision of the Ultimate Fighting Championships anti-doping system, the agency has botched communication on three occasions.
The most recent, Bennett said, came last week when UFC heavyweight Frank Mir had a TUE approved by USADA for the stimulant Adderall.

They had no business authorizing that TUE, and we said its unacceptable, that he had to fill out our application and go through our doctor, Bennett said. [Mir] was told he had to stop taking the stimulant immediately.
Theyre confusing the fighters. I have spoken to Travis several times. The bottom line is that we need to ensure that the fighters are educated about the process. By approving TUEs in the state of Nevada, they are going to confuse the fighters and it is quite evident Mr. Mir was confused, Bennett said.
The commission voted in May to stop accepting third-party test results. If alerted of a positive drug test by USADA, Aguilar said he will work on his own to secure test results from WADA accredited lab in Salt Lake City.
Bennett said USADAs attention should be on the common cause it seeks along with state commissions, including Nevada.

After three incidents here, its hard to call this an anomaly, Bennett said. They need to understand they need to honor the rules of Nevada, or their work will not be recognized in Nevada.
Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s use of an IV treatment to deal with dehydration before his fight against Manny Pacquiao should not have been by permitted by the U.S.
