What Mayweather asked for needed a TUE, which allows more than the 50ml. they said yes, why because the substances he was injecting were allowed by NSAC....ala UFC fighters doing this all the time as well as DLH. his urine was also tested prior to the IV and after...unless IOLE is lying from back on May 22, when he reported this.

Oscar used an IV and it did jack to help him rehydrate. drinking fluids is far superior.

Tygart on MMA Hour: So, the IVs are allowed under certain circumstances under the WADA prohibited list. You know, if you're in the hospital, clinic, having surgery. If you need it outside of those, you have to apply for a TUE. It's not, as you just indicated, not prohibited in most, or any that we're aware of, licensing commissions.
