I think the lack of ticket sales is due to at least two factors. One of course, is that people give Berto little chance of winning this fight. The other, and more significantly, is that this is payback for that absolute **** fight against Pacquiao. Manny didn't do **** in that fight, and Floyd didn't do much better. Pac claims he suffered a shoulder injury. Maybe he did, maybe not. If he didn't, he's a liar & if he did, he's a liar, because he checked that he had no injuries prior to the fight. Mayweather either barely beat a healthy Pacquiao or couldn't thoroughly defeat an injured Pacquiao. In any event, the fight was a very expensive let down, and both Mayweather & Pacquiao owe us. To hint that the Berto fight might have been free only to make it PPV is yet another slap in the face of fans, which could understandably result in low buys.

I agree with drenlou; Berto was dominating Soto Karass before the shoulder injury, and fought valiantly with one arm while being visibly in agonizing pain. Berto's not quite the bum that some people make him out to be.

Of course it's a failure. Mayweather doesn't sale tickets, his opponents do. Most fans pay to see him lose, and nobody thinks there's a chance in hell it will happen. Good thing this is his last fight (hopefully), he'll never be a big draw again. The Manny fight was the worst thing he could have done. It woke a lot of people up.
