Nah, Floyd invites these extraordinary match ups because he sez he's TBE. These other WWs, not even Manny, have ever made such a self-aggrandizing claim. If you have a clip of Ray Robinson saying anything remotely similar, I'd love to see it.

Some great fighters who Floyd ranks inferior to him have taken on similar challenges. So why wouldn't fans expect the same from him?

      Merchant/Lampley are ignorant ****heads.

At least Kellerman seems to understand the sport.

Jim " **** **** " Lampley became the biggest toolbox ever when he was announcing his new show awhile back.

Jim proudly stated that he was showcasing heroes who were the best boxing had to offer because they..... got hit.

      What an utter fkn toollbox.

Fcuk off Merchant and take that Lampley shhthead with you.

This is why serious fight fans criticize Mayweather. This is also why he can never be considered a top fighter, all time. Top 10-15, sure. There's a case to be made there.
BTW nothing about these statements indicates that you are referring to ONLY the set of serious boxing fans that Merchant referred to, that is why I told you to learn how to reference.

When you say things like "EVERY" and "this is why" you are referring to your own conclusions. Stop trying to back track to save face.

Geez you are truly an idiot.

Another ******ed opinion from another ******ed hater. It carries the same weight as the opinion of all the other ******ed haters who have been saying for the last year that a 38 year-old guy who started his career at 130 should fight a 32 year old who has spent his entire career at 160. In other words, it means absolutely nothing.

These are the fighters everyone wanted Mayweather to take:
Hernandez, Corralles, Judah, De La Hoya, Hatton, Mosley, Cotto, Alvarez, Pacquiao.

Here are some B level and up fighters that Mayweather fought that made sense: Guerrero, Maidana, Marquez, Gatti, Mitchell, Ortiz, Baldomir, Castillo. Ndou, Corley, Manfredy

Some of the fighters he misses: Tyzu, Cassamayor, Margaritto, Williams

Please forgive any spelling errors, I am typing on my phone. I know I left a few off the list, pulling from memory.

They said the same thing about: Baldomir, De La Hoya, Mosley, Cotto, Hatton, Alvarez, Pacquaio and even Lucas Matthysse (before he got his ass whipped by Garcia). Afterwards, they had excuses for every one of them. If Mayweather fought and beat Golovkin, these same haters would have their excuses ready within minutes after the fight, just like #48.

And I don't consider there to be a need to quote an article, in a comments thread about said-same article.

One more thing. I speak and write better English than you, I can assure you. I am not a non-native English speaker, you racist piece of shit. I do indeed live in the Land of the Rising Sun. I wasn't born here.

By the way, if you want to get personal, what the hell have you done with your life lately?

You are probably posting at your parents' house right now.
                  In summation

You claimed that serious boxing fans don't rank mayweather highly or among the greats....WRONG

You used your personal opinion of what defines a great fighter to post your opinion of Mayweather. You then passed this off as the viewpoint of "every serious boxing fan"....Once again subjective and down right wrong (and btw using the word EVERY when talking about opinions is a really bad use of the English language)

You said the Hagler/Leonard fight was a good example of the best fighting the best at their absolute best. This is hypocrisy as Leonard is on record saying he waited till he knew he could beat Hagler and this fight was also several years in the making very much like Pac/Mayweather. You tried to use your personal opinion to say Manny wasn't competitive and to discredit the win yet all pundits and Vegas disagreed with you before the fight. Once again proving yourself wrong.

You said Mayweather hasn't fought an intriguing matchup since JLC. Vegas and boxing pundits once again disagree with you. In reality his fights against Pacman and Canelo were billed and thought to be closer fights before they happened. Most people actually thought JLC would be an easier fight for Mayweather then it ended up being. This would make those fights intriguing in any objective persons eyes. Once again you are wrong.

                  What have you actually said?

I dont believe for a second u would rather watch Ward - GGG over Floyd - GGG.
Its about a super talented boxer being tested.

Floyd is the elite. Untouchable at his weight. Thats the difference.
Its more about Floyd than it is about GGG. All the focus is on Floyd here.
Its not whether GGG can beat Floyd, its whether Floyd can beat GGG.
