Carl Froch believes his domestic rival George Groves was physically and mentally damaged by the knockout defeats that he suffered in their two fight series. Froch's last ring appearance before retiring was last May's one-punch knockout of Groves before a crowd of 80,000 fans at Wembley.

Groves has notched two victories since that defeat and on Saturday night he will challenge Badou Jack for the WBC super middleweight championship - a belt previously held by Froch.

WAR GROVES!!!! I have to be honest, I haven't followed his career at all. All I know from his is because the Froch fights. Is he really finished? Isn't he young? ANYHOW, I want him to win just because Badou is part of Mayweather Promotions and I love seeing his fighters lose, it's like floyd takes an L too. Specially on the same card he is fighting.

Groves deffo has lost confidence after Froch KO. That's for now highlight of his carreer.

Maybe winning the title can get some confidence back.

Carl Froch is so bitter, its a good thing he became a boxer because that girl he is with would never go with such a douchebag like him but then again they both really do match up well with how vain they both are.

Same but I get the feeling Groves will need to KO him to get the W because of that.

              Correct.

Groves has looked like a shell of himself since getting knocked into next week by Froch. He looks so loose in the ring and that's against limited opponents: loose punches with no snap, loose defence, out of position...

I believe Froch knocked the best out of Groves.

I also think Groves split from Adam Booth has played a part in Groves looking a shadow of his former self. He's looked aimless under that new trainer

I'm cool with Froch. But everytime he talks, he reminds me of Khan. He's so happy to have beaten Groves twice because Groves REALLY got under his skin. To the point where he's reminding himself, Groves and the world that HE beat Groves. Ali took more punishment in the first Frazier fight than Groves probably has in both Froch fights. I think it's a stretch to say he's finished. I think that's just Froch sticking it to Groves since Groves' antics before their fight left such a bad taste in his mouth.

I could only imagine is May/Khan happened and Khan won. He wouldn't be able to have an interview without bring it up.

Froch saying a boxer is limited in a negative way is quite funny... Considering its Froch saying it. I always believed Froch was very limited but his natural gifts got him out of very sticky situations.
