Mosley well he was Winky's , Vernons Forrest and even Cotto's left over
Cotto was Margarito and Manny's leftover
Gatti well he was everyones' left over but whem Floyd fights him all of a sudde. Its a masterful perdormance
Great point about Gatti. That guy got sliced up by the great Wilson Rodrigues who we all know went on to do...well nothing. The master class Ivan Robinson beat him twice. Angel Manfredy who no doubt, is a legend, beat him up. De La Hoya splattered him. His fights with Ward were great, but Ward was a very limited fighter from the get go, although he was great fun to watch. By the time he got to Mayweather, it's a wonder there was anything left.

Exactly !
For Mayweather fans this is a stand out performance for the rest of boxing Gatti was an all action club fighter ..
Floyd always fights boxers at their full, most healthy weight. He does't do catch weights, and he doesn't fight other boxers' left overs.
amIrite?
Floyd will be an ATG, but lower tier. Didn't take any risks, fought leftovers his whole career, never fought outside his country.
The biggest risk he ever took was fighting Pac, and JMM fought him 4 times before Floyd. That's the story of Floyds career in a nutshell. Just fighting who his peers fought but never taking the risks, never fought Sergio, so Miguel had to do it for him. Wont fight GGG, so if Miguel don't do it for him Canelo will.
Always dithered too much to be great.
This is a different era, you have to compare him from people of HIS era, Pacquiao fought Dela Hoya, Cotto, Margarito, Marquez and Algieri at a catchweight, he also made Morales come down from 135 to 130 coming off a loss, and Pacquiao is considered the 2nd best of the era, Floyd fought at a catchweight 2 times in his whole career, once against Marquez, who was the number 2 P4P in the world and Floyd was coming off a 2 year layoff and a rib injury, and the other was Canelo who wanted to fight at 150 a year earlier, Canelo was 13 years younger and almost 20 lbs heavier on fight night.
Pacquiao's big wins against Dela Hoya, Hatton, Marquez and Shane Mosley were all wins against Floyd Mayweather's DIRECT left overs, without these fights Pacquiao wouldn't have been considered one of the best of this era.
