Comments Thread For: WBO: No Bradley-Rios Sanction, Golden Boy OK Needed

As fans continue to salivate over the resurrected welterweight clash between Timothy Bradley and Brandon Rios, at least one more major hurdle stands in the way of it becoming a reality.

The top brass at Top Rank—promoter for both fighters—continue to work out details for a clash that is tentatively slated for November 7 at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

One of those details surrounds the title at stake; Bradley is the World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion, a crown he reclaimed following a 12-round win over Jessie Vargas in June. That fight came with the stipulation that the winner (Bradley) would next face mandatory challenger Sadam Ali, which continues to stand in the way of a Bradley-Rios fight happening any time soon.

ali vs thurman would be closer imo
both are a bit of the runner style..and i actully call them runners bc they have no inside game to speak of

when all goes wrong for either guy the throw shoe shine flurries..both have a lil more power that others on their shoe shines but they are not intelligent "pure" boxers..they are more shane mosley that floyd..nothing wrong with that until u meet a guy that makes **** ugly like bradley...

bradley stays in ali's face and chest works works and works...shows that as the smaller fighter he can take ali's jab away and jab with him...wins the body work battle and comes up to the head..

Golden boy might want to say yes let this fight happen go ahead..

Fans arent "salivating" over this fight, thats just you Bob nuthuggers and TR cheerleaders like yourself Mr Donovan. As for the rest of us, we saw this fight coming 3yrs ago. Pac, Bradley, Marquez, Alvarado, Rios, just pair any 2 names and you have Bobs entire plan. Fk Bob!

i was high on this guy then i watch the santana fight and realized he has no clue of how to control pressure fighters..he's a pretty boy, but to bad he's not as skilled as floyd mayweather..kid refuses to learn how to fight on the inside..if he doesnt get beat soon for that he will when those legs get heavy around his 30th fight from wear and tear...

boxing kills me santata takes this dude 10 rounds and hurt him more than a few times and wins some rounds and they tell me ali is still something to look out for

but just bc dirrell doesnt have ggg power, won every round vs rubio hardly got touched he's on the downside??

that alone just made me a hater of this dude for a little while and hope tim bradley welcomes his little running ass to the pro's "Long Tim style"

This is bullschit. The fight sucks and its holding back the career of a promising up and comer. Give Sadaam his opportunity and quit trying to sell this garbage as a legitimate title fight.
