    It's extremely disappointing.

You never want to see a fighter's career go to waste, but to watch the career of an incredible talent spoiled by issues out of the ring is awful. He was easily the best 126lb fighter out there, had just demolished Salido and Solis, easily outclassed Ponce and could have had huge fights with the likes of Juanma and Garcia. Instead promoters got in the way, he's been sidelined for the majority of these last 4 years (1 fight in 2012, 1 fight in 2013 and none in 2015) and he has been fighting way above the weight he belongs.

His prime has passed, but his talent level is high enough to still be great if he can get active and a proper trainer.

I believe that Lopez's peak came and went quick. Plus they never added defense in his training

Seems like a balance thing more than anything but a punch did land. He has a habit of being off balance and out of position so i'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

That's unfair, he did well with the soft matchmaking. It was the not so soft ones that got him.

Fell in love with his own power. That string of 1st round KO victories was probably the worst thing that could've happened to him.
