Comparatively, Zab Judah and Austin Trout are far more solid opponents.

Not only that, a loss is not the only determining factor on the ability, standing or future achievements of a fighter. Ali HOF, regarded by many as the greatest boxer of all time, after losing to Norton, went on to defeat Frazier and regained the Heavyweight crown against Forman. Forman HOF, oldest Heavyweight champion in history, and oldest to regain Heavyweight World Championship. Hagler HOF, regarded by many as the greatest Middleweight. Roy Jones jr HOF, regarded by many as one of the greatest talents to ever grace the sport. Jake Lamotta HOF, later went on to defeat Sugar Ray Robinson (among others), Lamotta's name is considered one that will forever be along side the sport of Boxing. Miguel Cotto HOF, after back to back losses became the first Puerto Rican fighter in history to win world titles in four different weight classes.
Apart from his constant annoying whining, Ken Norton produced the best trilogy against the greatest boxer of all times, every single match of Norton vs Ali is a joy to watch. don't underrate him please.

Norton was a bumb, just because he defeated Ali and had 1 or 2 good matches means nothing. Im not under rating him, im rating him exactly where he belongs, on the tin can list.

Cotto was on the cusp of greatness before Margacheato and his plaster wraps ruined him. After that he could not win a big fight.
Had he beaten Cheato he most likely would have fought ODL in late 2008 instead of Pacquiao and would have taken off from there.
Too bad for him, he has played it pretty safe since taking two losses in 2012 until HBO forced the Canelo fight on him.

Why do they have to be angry Cotto stans? Anyone that knows boxing knows that Tito isn't even close to being the greatest Puerto Rican fighter of all time. Miguel Cotto's resume dwarfs Trinidad's. It's not even close.

5 Puerto Rican fighters ahead of Trinidad:

                  Wilfredo Gomez
                  Miguel Cotto
                  Wilfred Benitez
                  Hector Camacho
                  Ivan Calderon

The good thing about that post is it points out the depth of great Puerto Rican boxing champions in the past. The bad thing is that it is ridiculously wrong. Only Gomez and Benitez can be considered better than Trinidad. Also, the poster left out names like "Chapo" Rosario, Carlos Ortiz, and Esteban de Jesus.

I've had the same conversation with my father, Carlos Ortiz should be shown far more love. Incredible that he is not mentioned more, and I guarantee you that many Puerto Ricans don't remember him. Bothersome...
