Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury: Wladimir, You're Getting Knocked Spark Out!

While nearly every heavyweight champion of the past 30 years—including current ruler Wladimir Klitschko—was in Hollywood, Florida to film an upcoming documentary, Tyson Fury was ringside at a show on the other side of the Atlantic, taking in a night of action in Leeds while pondering a vision as the future heavyweight champion of the world.

The outspoken unbeaten heavyweight contender already appears to be in remarkable condition for his October 24 showdown with Klitschko in Dusseldorf, Germany. Sporting a derby, a blazer and a neatly trimmed beard, Fury was on his best behavior – but still in rare form – in discussing his upcoming World heavyweight title shot.

Not hearing much from the Klitschko side as per usual before fights. Tyson seems to really have to convince himself repeatedly that he's doing this. Jim Lampley says that's usually a sign someone isn't that confident about it like when smiling after taking a hard shot. Who knows--I think Tyson will start out fast, but I don't know whether that will help or hurt him because you never know which Klitschko you're getting...where he'll hold a lot like in the Povetkin fight, or he'll find a hole in your defense and get you like he did Pulev. I thought Klitschko looked great against the 6'8 Wach who's a hard puncher and Wach even caught him with a hard shot, but Klitschko's chin seems to be holding up better in recent years. Klitschko is still a -425 favorite to Fury's +340 according to Vegas Insider. At least we're getting some fun fights now that there's a little more competition in the HW division.

Be interesting to see, since it hasn't happened yet in 70 odd pro fights over 20 or so years. One towel thrown in and a couple ref stoppages with Wlad on bambi legs, but no spark out so far.
