Exactly. Lara has all the tools and skillset to be p4p but he's too in love with making guys miss by a mile, instead of having them miss by an inch and firing back with those sniper like straight lefts that he's capable of throwing. Boxing has and will always be about punches. A fighter can win a round without evading a punch but a fighter can never win a round without landing one. Defense is very important as it prevents the other fighter from scoring but you have to score points to win rounds. Lamont Peterson learned the hard way.

I look at it like other sports. In basketball a team can have the overall edge in steals, def. rebounds, and blocks but they won't win if they don't take/make any shots.

      loool this right here!

well put tbh, Lara beyond round 3 or 4 from what I remember, didn't do much more than run around the ring not throwing punches.

It was a close fight but Alvarez got the decision, get over it folks!

The range of reasonable scores was 7-5 either way. But when that happens, the decision goes to the hand that feeds the judges. Can't argue with that.

Lara should had fought more instead of running. Floyd was countering Canelo with much less movement. Even going to the rope at times

Lara fought clean with no dirty illegal tactics. What exactly is comparable?

Did Canelo land 80 punches on Floyd, real talk?

                    Lara fights nothing like Floyd.

Floyd and Lara are both technically proficient boxers, and that's literally where the similarities end.

Canelo probably landed more on Lara than he threw on Mayweather.
