Floyd Mayweather was 'knocked down' during a sparring session on Thursday night. Our snitch who was on hand at the Mayweather Boxing Club, who spoke on the condition of anonymity told us, "Mayweather got hit with a good shot, a left hook to the body, and he went down."
The insider added, "To my knowledge Money has never gone down ever. Not in sparring, or in the ring."
But the insider also added, "It's not unusual for a boxer to get hit hard in training and go down. And Floyd responded well, he got up and finished the session. And he beat the boxer he was fighting to a bloody pulp."

Interestingly the round after that Floyd fought as a southpaw, only time I've ever seen him do it.
He switched to southpaw when he fought Castillo the first time. I think it was due to shoulder pain.

Of course he's been dropped in sparring at some stage or another.

As anyone would tell you, nobody gives a shyt. It's boxing.

Maybe not recently, but there is no doubt he's been knocked down in sparring. Floyd has sparred with other World Champions to train, he's been caught no doubt.

Dude has sparred thousands and thousands of rounds. Often time he's sparred early in camp when he wasn't in top shape and against guys who were fight ready. He's had to have been caught numerous times.

I'm surprised that nobody remembers how he got dropped in the zab Judah fight. He ran into a counter, his glove clearly touched the canvas, but the ref decided not to call it.

Yeah I know but out of interest I wanted to hear if anyone had stories and rumours.

Like the guy below said, thousands of rounds, some where he was out of shape and he hasn't been dropped once? Quite a stretch.

Technically it is dropped, if your glove touches the canvas it's a knockdown.
