  • Comments Thread For: Badou Jack on Carl Froch: I’m Faster, Better Technically

Badou Jack is confident he’ll present even more problems for George Groves than Carl Froch, who beat Groves by technical knockout in two super middleweight title fights.

Jack (19-1-1, 12 KOs) is scheduled to defend the WBC 168-pound championship against Groves (21-2, 16 KOs) on the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Andre Berto undercard Sept. 12 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas (Showtime Pay-Per-View; $74.95 in HD; 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT). London’s Groves is 0-2 in world title fights, yet slightly favored to take Jack’s title.

So were 99% of Carl's opponents, yet it didn't always end well for a lot of them.

Carl had a chin, heart and stamina. Badou would need these to reach the heights Carl did, especially against the level of opponents Carl did.

Groves was faster and technically better than him too, so Badou needs to know that them factors alone won't win you the fight.

    Looking forward to it though.

You may very well be, Jack. However when you hop in the ring that doesn't guarantee anything. Especially against a proven fighter like Croch who found a way to win 96% of the time. It's called will, grit, determination. Things you can't teach. Intangibles.

Reading the article, I'm not sure he said anything wrong there.

Jack may be a better technical boxer than Froch, and that will pose a different kind of problem for Groves.

But all round, Froch is a much tougher and more dangerous opponent, so if Groves can regain the form he was in before Foch KO'd him,(in front of 80,000 fans at Wembley) he should beat Jack.
