Boxing is an occupational hazard. It's what boxer signed up for as their profession. Like being a soldier in the field. They go to Iraq knowing they might die if bad luck strikes their way.

If you don't want to risk your life gtfo of the game. It's what boxers sign up for. It's part of being a warrior.

If a boxer doesn't have this mentality of fighting. He should stay away from it. He doesn't belong in there anymore. Just do some office work that safer.

Marketing and matchmaking are things I'm not conflating, you are.

TR solidified him as a bonafide boxing star. His best wins of his career all come from his time as a TR fighter. That's all that matters

It was perfect timing, Oscar cashing out and boxing needed a star, Haymon needed a trophy, and Floyd wanted money. Worked out for the two of them but let's not act like Arum had nothing to do with it. Arum built both Oscar and Floyd, and it was the fight with Oscar that propelled Floyd. The ppv numbers from that fight is what started everything that came. That all had Arum's hands all over it...it was also the last paycheck Arum saw off Floyd (Yeah I know he wasn't signed to Arum anymore but he paid his buyout with the money he made from that fight as well as paid back the money Arum paid JPrince to go away). Floyd has accomplished a ton in his career but everyone he worked with paid a part in it, some more than others.
Floyd built floyd! Period. Arum built francisco bojado too didn't he? Floyds very hard work kept him at the top. Arum refused to make floyd vs oscar. Floyds biggest fights came after he jumped the top rank ship. Haymon is a top negotiator who got floyd max dollars. But non of that would be possible if floyd was not dedicated to his craft. If arum is so good why is he having trouble signing new blood??? Arums thieving ways have caught up with him. New fighters want haymon because he can get them multiple fights a year for good money. And floyd signed with arum 1st! He signed with arum right after the olympics. He signed with j prince then he signed with goosen/tudor.

There is no way you ever laced up a pair of gloves to say something so crazy. And fyi there are plenty of boxers with pugilistic dementia. They have horrible quality of life from taking 4 to give 1. Just to please coliseum fans that wont remember them in 2 years. So if a cop or soldier gets killed its ok because thats what they signed up for? If a doctor contracts the ebola virus well thats just part of the job??? What to you do for a living? Im really curious. I bet it has nothing to do with any type of risk.

No they weren't! Floyds best wins came after he became money and made several truck loads of money and racked up impressive victories.

Yup...When Haymon came in the picture it was like, " Okay Floyd, you dont have to fight anymore. Just act like it. We will pay your opponents off and make millions of you 0. *** fighting the best and risk losing or getting hurt. Leave that to the real Champions!

                  What they signed up for?

They know the risks they take for taking that job. Wether be a soldier, a cop, doctor a boxer It's part of their occupational hazards of their chosen profession. And if these people can't accept there risks that comes with it, gtfo of the kitchen. It's a free world. After all, it's there life.

Hence, Floyd should retire if his head isn't in the game. Running and hugging is embarrassing to true warriors of the game.
