Of course GGG is not Roy Jones. That wasn't my point at all.

GGG has been tearing through competition, in a way which is somewhat Jones-esque.

The point of the Jones reference was the quote beneath the video.

Anyone who believes this is his last fight is a ****ing idiot.

Remember B-Hop's mom's dying wish? That he wouldn't fight past the age of 40? Oh, it was all in the media and lots of people bought it.

For all of Floyd's idiocy, he knows how to sell his own fights. He knows that this fight will ONLY sell if people believe it's his last.
The guy is too big of an egomaniac to stay away--especially once he realizes that he has no skills or marketability whatsoever outside of boxing.

          I was just joking.

There is no way the GGG can be compared to Roy at all, and it'd be crazy to do so.

But, he is a damn good fighter, and he is still fresh in his pro career.

He is one of the best fighters in the world right now, and he's got a long ways to go in his career, I believe.

Again, not comparing, but as far as his age is concerned, the American boxers always had a pipeline to the pros, after the amateurs, and so it was natural for them to fight up through the jr. amateurs, and then if they could make it at the world level give it a go, and then go pro, very young.

So the situations are quite different.

I was just saying that the fact that people say GGG hasn't fought anyone, reminds me a little of what people use to say about Roy Jones. GGG has fought some good fighters, and made them look like nothing. He seems to be fighting the best guy available in his next fight, and the bookies have him at like 1.03 or something (I'd actually not dis-encourage someone to bet on Lemeiux. There's no point betting on Golovkin with those odds clearly, but this is a fight of two massive punchers, and one or two punches is all it takes).

Golovkin is an absolutely amazing fighter, a phenom. One of the best in the sport. That's my opinion, and I reserve the right to revise it, but that's where I stand. The fact that he is absolutely destroying everyone that is put in front of him does not mean he is not fighting decent fighters. He's just so far ahead of his competition. That is my take. Who at middleweight would test him? My answer is nobody at all.

I've been wanting the Ward fight for a very long time. But Ward has been MIA.

He tried to get Froch in the ring, Froch retired. That would've been a hell of a fight. Not saying it was a duck, I'm sure Froch had his reasons.

GGG will probably need to move up to get any challenges. Even guys like Groves would be interesting fights, although I think GGG would destroy Groves.

But it is totally reasonable to retire at this point. I don't know what some people are going on about "earning an easy fight", I don't even know what that means. But regardless of this upcoming snoozefest, Mayweather absolutely deserves the right to decide for himself when he should retire. The fact that he is 38 should only drive that point home further.

Lol @ posters saying he's ducking GGG or Khan or whatever.

Yeah thats actually exactly what he's saying he's going to do.
Just looked up Roger Mayweather on google news and found this.

If he's so worried about his health, why not just retire off the Pacquiao gift decision?

He has to milk another $32 mil out of Showtime against punching bag?

That has been done several times in the past by multiple fighters.

because he has to fullfill his contract with showtime its not that complicated there is penalties if he doesnt get 6 fights in that time frame but hey whatever narrative you wish to use.
