Comments Thread For: Floyd Mayweather Jr. Worried About Health, Not Losing

Everything with Roger is making the retirement more believable, though I still will be far from shocked if he returns (and still don't want to see May-Berto).
But it is totally reasonable to retire at this point. I don't know what some people are going on about "earning an easy fight", I don't even know what that means. But regardless of this upcoming snoozefest, Mayweather absolutely deserves the right to decide for himself when he should retire. The fact that he is 38 should only drive that point home further.
Lol @ posters saying he's ducking GGG or Khan or whatever.
Yeah thats actually exactly what he's saying he's going to do.If you're worried about health, don't fight. Every fighter's choice, fight and risk injury but get paid...or stay healthy. End of the day, he's fighting for those checks but wants to stay healthy too, I get that, doesn't mean I'll support it as I don't find that entertaining.Comment

I think consider the first negotiation was pro pacquiao with split date and lb penalty, i don't think Floyd would have made roadblocks considering he agreed to all the demand TR and Pac put Infront of him. He just asked for extra testing. Tyson did similar against holeyfield. Only in this scenario the other side was opposed of it.Comment

Agreed with most of the other posters remarks except the diva **** people love talking about this days. Oscar started it & you might could even say Sugar Ray started it in his comeback bouts as he was the first to fight for two weight division titles in one night. Floyd just perfected it.I agree wth most of this. But this diva thing started with dlh IMO. He became the richest non heavyweight and dominated every negotiation in his career. It's just that when Floyd did it, people spoke up against him despite the fact he took one of the most lopsided deals in boxing history to dlh to put himself in this position. What I will say is Floyd took it to NEW levels in terms of control, but he definitely didn't start it.
Definitely wanna see more cats walk away healthy from boxing & I'd like to see more cats walk away earlier from boxing. Mosley shouldn't be still fighting. Many others shouldn't as well & if boxing had a true competitive atmosphere at all levels guys like Mosley would think twice about it as he'd be getting curb stomped with this inferior version of his one great skills.Comment
