Well Winky was signed and ready to go at 154, Floyd pulled out of that fight bcuz face it, that was a dumb move on his part. Floyd wouldve been going up 2-3 divisions to face the Champ. Remember thats when all the big names didnt want no parts of FMJ? So the Winky fight was a bad boxing move for Floyd at the time..whether you consider it a duck or not. As for Martinez, i see no reason FMJ couldnt fight him. That was a big fight late 2010-2011 when he was coming off the Williams2 KO/FOTY campaign. Had those fights happened at 154 i believe it wouldve happened..Williams i dont consider a miss bcuz he hadnt beaten anybody that qouldve made him a good win for Floyd.

Facts?!? Facts like you saying Barrerra was out of his prime when he fought Pac? Facts like JMM was no longer his prime during pac/jmm2?!? Using your same criteria, who has Floyd beat that is HOF material and in their prime?

You may want to look up the definition of fact and opinions. Your "facts" are highly subjective opinions. At least Spoon sometimes provides evidence (however biased and spammy they may be) to back up his arguments. You just spew personal opinions as if they're law.

Floyd for all his talents should have more memorable match ups I'm not overly impressed with him beating up on faded legends and plodders ..For all his skill set and talent he should have tested himself when it mattered against fighters in their prime..

It's easy to look like a genius in the ring when your in against guys you have no business fighting ..Now to his next and final opponent shoulder roll 2.0 with his wide stance in berto ..I mean really this is who he fights in his curtain call ? Come on now fans should have demanded better..
I know ur taking a stab at Cotto, Mosley, ODLH, and Pac...c'mon man we know why those fights didnt happen sooner..Pac? Cmon man...weve been at this back and forth for tha last 5-6 yrs. Cotto? TopRank? Floyd leaving TR? Mosley didnt want that fight until FMJ was the biggest draw in the sport...DelaHoya? Didnt have time for Floyd until it was considered a big fight....you see where Thurman is at right now, very similar position

At 154 people would probably still criticize Floyd. At 160 nobody would, because its about taking risks. If its at 160 Floyd will be seen to be taking a risk.
Up to this point in floyds career he has been long lauded as the best, yet hes never been willing to do anything nobody had already done. Yes, he fought Pac, but so what? JMM fought him 4 times already. Yes he fought canelo, but so did SSM before Floyd with no CW. What is it Floyd does that others don't?

People wanted him to fight Sergio, but he wouldn't, so Cotto did! Cotto will likely face GGG as well, because Floyd wasn't willing to. Floyd took long enough lay offs so people expected him to go beyond the call of duty, but he never did. We are still waiting, but now hes retiring. Even BH fought Kovalev.
So Floyd will get criticized, and it will get even worse once he retires. Floyd will have time to read about it by then. When he realizes how bad it is, he will try make a comeback.

Have you ever, even once, directed this exact criticism at Gennady Golovkin? If so then we at least can say that you seem to be consistent with your principles and that you stand by them at all times.

If not then this is yet another example of Floyd having to live up to standards that don't seem to apply to any other boxers except him.

No one would have complained if Floyd fought Brook, Porter, Thurman or Khan.

Absolutely who has GGG even faced ? I mean they are dubbing him the 2nd coming of Hagler yet he's yet to be tested ..

Catchweights, coming in way overweight (vs JMM), ducking, refs in pocket, not fighting fighters in their prime.... all valid reasons to criticize him.

There would be no criticism from me and most others if he'd taken on all comers at the right time.

                      I can see it now:

Brook - too unproven, manufactured record
Porter - too unproven, lost to Brook who's got a manufactured record
Thurman - too unproven, got hurt by old ass Collazo
Khan - too ****ty, been KTFO twice to guys who couldn't hold Floyd's jockstrap

This is always a no win situation for Mayweather like it or not, believe it or not. The evidence is the fact Mayweather's W's have been more **** on than any elite fighters W's & he's got one of the best resumes in the business unless you are willfully being ignorant or are ignorant.
