He's criticized with Pacquiao because the fight happened 5 years late.

He's criticized with Canelo because of the 152 catch weight.

He's criticized with Maidana because of the, "running" and "hugging". Let's be real though, Kenny Bayless did a **** job that second fight in regards to the clinching. Still, it's just an excuse to hate on him because he's been fighting this way for years now. The last reason below is my opinion on why he's hated on a lot.

He's criticized because he's undefeated and not a, "people's champ" kind of guy. People like to see the, "good guy" come out on top. Mayweather has a record of domestic violence, and showboats his money consistently. Not exactly people's vision of the way a hero acts.



I don't know what criticism he received for Cotto/Mosley/Hatton, though. Probably the Hatton fight for acting like a diva with the whole landing before Hatton does thing.

He was criticized with the Cotto fight because people were saying it was too late (although cotto admitted that his people didnt want him facing Floyd before, because THEY felt Cotto wasnt ready for it). Shane fight was criticized because once again because people claimed it didnt happen early enough and that Shane was shot, even though his previous fight was where he decapitated Margorita and was #2 or 3 p4p. then Hatton was because that wasnt Hatton's weight class. People in this sport have criticized him no matter what, just like he says. Just makes his victories that much more sweeter.

He's right. And really...who cares? His career is over. If you're whining about Berto that means it just burns you that he may walk away undefeated.

Its not the opponent, I think they are disappointed that their isn't many true threats left and outside of figthting for a middleweight title he might as well retire

And Hatton started at 140 walks around at 170....Floyd started at 130 and was weighing less on fight night sometimes when he got to ww....size was never an issue and Floyd only had 4 fights over 140....they act like he was tommy hearns lol

You're a punk azz-arrogant, self absorbed, Straight Out of Grand Rapids, illiterate who has strategically avoided the greatest risk in Boxing to manufacture and market a "0". That's your problem. I doubt very seriously if you challenged yourself to fight GGG, anyone would complain but for your dad. You cry to anyone who would listen, "Pacquiao fought Algieri, why can't I fight Berto"? Since when have you ever wanted to measure yourself alongside Pacquiao or anyone else? (And let's remind u Pac got ripped for fighting Algieri too; but you wouldn't fight Manny at the time, neither would Marquez). Who is it that won't fight you, so you choose Berto???? GGG, Bradley, Thurman, Porter, Khan are all more deserving than Berto and all have voiced their interest in such a fight. He's not right and only Floyd fans believe he's being unfairly treated. We don't give exemptions in boxing. You want to be the best, you fight the best.

Floyd throughout his career has cherry picked guys. I'm not saying he isn't great, but we have been robbed of seeing him with a lot of guys in their prime, because of his career choice.

No disrespect to Berto, but Khan would have been much better. Or god forbid GGG who said he will make 154.

Floyd doesn't take the hard road though, he takes the easier road. He's done it for 20 years and this last choice of Berto was a giant *** YOU to the boxing world.

Everytime you step in the ring its a risk

When he was humble and smiling and pretty boy Floyd he couldn't sell tickets and PPV, he was calling everyone out and they avoided him because the risk outweighed the reward much like GGG...if you followed boxing back then you'd have seen it play out....Shane and ODLH ducked him and Arum prevented a lot of big fights that could have happened period or earlier, that's why he left top rank in the first place

C)You cant be 12-0 vs current or former lineal champions and not taken any risks

D)Maybe he didn't fight all the fights we wanted to see or when, but no fighter has fought everyone I wanted them to

How do you fight for 19 yrs and not have a memorable fight against a guy in his prime ? Maybe that's the reason he gets criticized ,or maybe the fact he disrespected an atg in Ali maybe that's the reason ..
