I wouldn't be surprised if he's slipped enough that he couldn't beat these two in a rematch, retiring is the best thing to do. If he does decide to continue, I want Thurman or Brook to get the opportunity, other than that it's 'bout that time.

I can't imagine he'll go broke anytime soon that would require a comeback for money. Like mentioned in this thread he's made over half a billion dollars in the last 3 years. If he can blow half a bill within a couple years in time to comeback that would be an amazing feat that would make Mike Tyson blush. And even if Mayweather went broke, he's rich guy broke. He'd just need to sell some of his 100M+ worth of bs & he'd have 9 digits all over again.
Not necessarily true, since it appears a large part of his money goes to ********, and cars, which depreciate in value fairly quickly. And Im willing to bet, he doesn't keep track of his money very well.

Its quite possible one of his crew will end up embezzling quite a sizeable chunk of his money away. Or he will get hooked into investment schemes.

His money will last longer than it has in the past, but it wont last him forever.

Translation: a blown up Josesito Lopez for #50... probably in 2016/17.

The card will be called: Spreadin' The Wealth - The Charity Years

I don't think he'll blow all his money but I do think the danger zone for him is legal ishhh. Just hope he cuts down on the entourage a bit and makes that circle around him a whole lot smaller.
I wouldn't put any faith in him staying clean in retirement. With an ego that big, and a outside-the-ring brain that small... it's inevitable. He will at least partially self-destruct within 2 years of leaving the ring.

I hope Floyd really retires. He doesn't need to step up in a ring anymore and he should let younger people such as Canelo or any other big name take over while Mayweather enjoys his retirement. Manny Pacquiao should do the same and retire so he could concentrate more on politics, religion or both.

The biggest $$$ fight possible, is a rematch with Pac,

but I don't think He wants any part of a two armed Manny...

If he's smart, he'll Do the ride into the Retirement Sunset!

I hope he stays retired. I hope manny retires too.

After the Marquez 4 loss, I felt bad that he keeps fighting for his fans and his country. The money doesn't hurt either.

I've got no reason to doubt him this time. He's an old man in boxing terms, and he knows it.

I think there is a huge difference going thru $20M & $500M doe. And from my understanding Mayweather's first retirement was ended cuz he did get hustled for 8 digits. I suppose that was a great learning experience for him that he isn't likely to duplicate. And while I think the Ford truck you got 2yrs of payments on depreciates in value I don't think these $1M+ cars are only worth $500K once you drive it off the lot. I suspect many of them gain value due to limited numbers or other factors that aren't relatable to most of us. I suspect Mayweather has enough money that as long as he doesn't run afoul of the IRS he's good for life.
