I don't know if he ever forgave Ali for all the "Uncle Tom" BS, which is sad. He was "what you see is what you get", and he was all heart. I think he was just about legally blind when he fought the Thrilla.

Finally........ I also mention this to boxing fans that they have a Rocky statue but not joe frazier. Shame that he never saw it!

Cool ****. Gonna have to find a reason to go to Philly soon so I can see this. Great tribute to one of our great fighters.

I'd love to see more statues of great fighters. If every town has to have a Starbucks why can't every town have a great boxer that represented their town. Lets throw up a Chris Byrd statue in Flint, MI, a Virgil Hill statue in bumf#ck, North Dakota, a Jorge Paez statue in Mexicali, Mexico. Also for full disclosure I am a unemployed statue maker so this would really help me out too guise.

Any of you boxing nerds keeping track of all the boxers who got statures somewhere now? Joe Louis gots a fist (or had idr if its still there) in Detroit & a full body statue in Vegas. I feel like there has to be a Ali statue somewhere. And I also believe I heard that Kim cat who Mancini maimed in the ring had some sort of statue or something up in his hometown/country somewhere, but I might be incorrect with that one.
