Why are they acting like Spence is just dominating and out of his class?

They are literally taking turns punching heavy bags. Both landing hard shots on each other.

They're on, literally. I just don't see a hugely one-sided fight? Sure, Spence is nicking each round with a few more landed shots.

Both they are both just taking turns throwing the high-guard up, and wailing away on completely stationary targets.

Spence may be hitting the heavy bag just a bit harder than Van Heerden is. But Spence becomes a heavy bag himself.

Spence is good at punishing but he needs to catch Heerdan with something he doesn't see. Otherwise Heerdan has just been doing his best to absorb punishment until his legs give out.
