Vivian Harris...now that's a name I haven't heard from I a while. He was with Manuel Steward, they had some kind of falling out, and I haven't seen much of him since. Looking at boxingrec, he's been busy, just not on national tv. Long losing streak too.
Karpency didn't need to take any more punishment, he had just gotten a break and hadn't yet fully recovered from the last KD. He had no chance of making it through the 3rd.

lolwut? Karpency was on ***** street. I actually thought he may have nicked round one, he was looking ok for a bit but didn't have the chin to do much else. He would have been put to sleep in that round if not for the stoppage.

Nah that was it. He had 60 seconds between rounds to get his wits about him. He got dropped right away to start the 3rd. He didn't have anything left. He had to get through the first 4. He almost got through 2. Not enough. Weak chin too.
It was a bad stoppage and I'm being perfectly serious. Karpency had the wherewithal to stay on his knee, taking a full 8.5 seconds to rise on the refs count. He was on his feet and he looked ready to go. Furthermore, Tommy protested when the ref waived it off.
I think you give the guy a chance before you pull the plug so quickly. How many fights have there been in boxing history where a guy looks like he's overmatched, been knocked down several times quickly early on in the fight, only to comeback and be competitive?
I just don't like when refs act impulsively and stop fights too quickly and this is what happened last night
