if every fighter fought like the guy that wlked down zab, the guy that ko'd hatton, the guy that bodied cotto at his own game...then yes ppl would still love boxing...
but u cant ask him to be a warrior when every one he fights is 10-15lbs heavier...address the commissions and then u'll see fighters take more risk..when he fough fighter his size he bodied them

mosley, judah, hatton, marquez...these are guys that didnt abuse weight classes..floyd was exciting in all fights

really??? You do know he made Hatton move up after he looked like crap vs collazo? and marquez fight was contracted at 144 and he didn't bother honoring the contracted weight vs a career lightweight right??

He would not be a boxer if he was "afraid to get punched" you dumb fck.

You sound fckin ******ed "his smartness"?!

How did he become such a brilliant counter puncher if he's so afraid u dumb ass?

That's pretty much the expected scenario. Berto is small with short arms and facing a guy with a built-in bike and one of the longest arms in the sport. No amount of planning will team Berto be able to come up with a game plan other than to chase the runner in the entire fight to be able to land his shots. There's no other way. Or emulate Porter's style even just for this fight, "I know you want distance, but **** you, I'm not going to give it to you." That's basically the Porter style of fighting.

As long as fighters like Floyd aren't fighting guys that are fan friendly people won't watch tbh. Floyd's style has almost neutralized guys who prefer to go toe to toe bc it exploited their flaws. That's why new age fans aren't into the same fighters that purist enjoy watching. They'd rather see similar styles fight than contrasting styles bc they know deep down theres a good chance the toe to toe fighter has a higher chance of being exposed.

and they both were likely the same weight as floyd in the ring...ricky hatton ko'd kosta to not give him credit u have to be kidding me...collazo gave thurman problem as a old man...u act like he is a bum..and hatton clearly won the fight imo..mosley got handled and so did cotto...ortiz was exciting while it lasted and the crowd went crazy the night of oscar floyd so yes ppl would still watch...ppl cheered everything oscar did and paid no attatnion to floyd..it was not bc oscar was exciting it was bc this world is full of d1ck riding..i'm jusdt there to see a winner and a good fight...and floyd has given good fights..manny floyd was bad besides that he has hit ppl square in the face whenever he felt like it canelo and manny are his 2 worst fights imo..the rest are A to B level excitement on the highest level of boxing

Yes its to hit and not get hit. Not getting hit you was good at. Its the hitting that you supposedly did that im not sure about. I didnt really see Floyd hitting too much. THe judges scored a lot of them, but i wonder if his opponents even felt the punches. Or maybe they felt Floyd touched them but didnt worry as they never hurt and Floyds opponent got nervous wondering if the judges scored it or not. Getting Floyds opponent flustered and worrying about things he shouldnt hav.e
