Critics can say that Pac didnt sell out in order to make it exciting but I'll tell you, Pac put forth more of an offensive effort than Floyd did in that fight. He fired off combos when he could and was the one coming forward the entire fight. It's hard to be offensively effective and impressive when your opponent is 100% focused on killing any action by hugging, headlocking and evading in order to avoid engaging.

I scored the fight 7-5 for Floyd. It was far from this whitewash that his fans are claiming it was. There were many rounds that could have gone either way but it seems as if they judges gave all the close rounds to Floyd by default.
I think you distilled the fight down to its essence. Floyd nullified! Correct me if I am wrong, but it would take wicked/mad skills to nullify an 8 devision champ and make it look easy?

We all saw Pacquiao vs Margarito, and that was enough. Heck, fighting Floyd at Welterweight was more of a disadvantage to Pacquiao than Floyd. 140 would be more optimal for Manny (obviously in the past).

He didn't start off as a Super Featherweight (130 lbs) like Floyd, but a Light Flyweight (105 pounds). Heck, Pacquiao had to stuff his pockets just to make weight (although he was 16 years old at the time). FYI: Pacquiao was in the Flyweight division as a 21 year old.

Pacquiao has moved up more weight classes, and moved up far more weight than Floyd has. Yet, I never see anyone give him his due credit despite this. "Floyd stomped Manny doe", yeah? Well height/reach make a huge difference when you see two boxers fight. Neither boxer is in their prime, although it's debatable, I believe Pacquiao has lost more in his ability than Floyd in 5 years because he's already at a disadvantage with his size, making it more noticeable. How many boxers have you ever seen Floyd in the ring with that were taller/had superior reach/were actually considered a good boxer?

Is that Floyd's fault there are no Hearns/Leonard's around? No, but at least give credit where credit is due.
I give him credit! He is not to blame! He beat canelo Cotto easy!

So good thing Berto is his last fight. We won't have to expect this from him. I guess only true ATGs does these kinds of fights.

Well in Floyd's case he just needed wicked hugging skills to prevent a real boxing match to transpire that night.

Besides if you believe it. It's the least punch output in Floyd's entire career with 2 healthy hands.

You start out writing don't believe the punch stats, compubox, then point out that the punch stats show Floyd threw the least amount of punches in any fight to date.

But these same compubox stats are correct when they show Floyd throwing the least amount of punches.

The logic fails me? I think it is disingenuous to call into question the very stats you later use to support your theory of Floyd being economical with his punches. Can't have it both ways.

                Hope you are not offended.

Mayweather is smart how he waited til Pacquiao slowed down. Some people still don't see this.

I agree he slowed down! Getting knocked out cold can have deleterious effects in the brain and motor skills. He just needs to retire!
