If the ref saw an illegal punch land and the guy falls the ref should call the punch illegal instantly. This ref did nothing when the punch landed. Then he bends over the downed fighter and looks at him and maybe talked to him and then decides it was an illegal punch. If the ref saw no illegal punch then he has no right to guess there was an illegal blow.

looks like he just cuffed Young with a shot that hurt himI watched the punch a few times at .25x speed. Because of the quality it's very difficult to make out in what direction his head was facing. Either way, he was ****** in ducking his head and coming in head first. It does seem possible that it caught at least partially on the back of the head, I just can't tell. It looks like the ref was right there though, so I wouldn't pick my view of the action over his.
That being said I think a NC would have been a lot better, a draw makes no god dam sense.
Young weighed in at 193lbs for this boutComment

I presume he did see the punch land "illegally" but was hoping that Young would get up and continue fighting. If the ref saw an illegal punch land and the guy falls the ref should call the punch illegal instantly. Imo, it was still a bad call by the ref though. Punches landing on the back and side of the head are inevitable in a boxing match and should only be deemed "illegal" when they are deliberately aimed.
Otherwise, every damn fight is going to end in a DQ or a NC.Comment

Was clearly to the back of the head. But clearly an accident, think the ref should have given the guy time to recover(if he was so sure it was a rabbit punch) and if the guy didn't want to continue, call it a KO in favor of Sergioka.Comment

I really couldn't tell because the ref was in the way. However, I've heard Harold Lederman say during a fight that if a fighter cannot continue to due to accidental foul, NOT including a cut from a headbutt, then its considered a TKO loss for the fighter who was fouled. I believe he said this during the Johnson-Ruiz fight when Johnson kept landing low.Comment

Perfectly legal hook, Grover put on an act to get the draw.
It should have been a KO win, since Young stayed down for the count.Comment
