I never once said the consideration of Berto as an opponent was a joke or not serious.

Go and look back on the official BoxingScene thread "Mayweather jokes about fighting Berto or Mayfield" and I am in that thread on one of the first pages.

So your memories aren't so vivid.

Rubbish, the whole reason Khan was carrying on is because he was trying to shame Floyd into the fight as he knew from pollgate that Floyd didn't want any part of it.

There was maybe doubt then but there can be none now.

He fought Hatton, a natural 140lber, at 147lbs. I personally don't care much about that fact, but I thought I'd put that out there since a great deal of Pac haters take a dump on him for fighting 140 fighters at 147 (can't remember if I've seen you do that though) but never criticize Floyd for doing this with Hatton or worse with Marquez.

Hatton is a different issue imho.

We all know that bringing up smaller guys is a little lame.

But that wasn't the case with Hatton.

NOTE: I am NOT suggesting that HATTON was better at welter than he was at 140.

Hatton made his name at 140, and he had almost all of his success there.

What I am suggesting is that Hatton was a better welter than he was a jww, at that point in time.

1) he had been fighting at 147 before Mayweather
2) he was no longer a young fighter
3) his weight struggles were well-documented

At that stage, Hatton was literally killing himself to make 140.

Mayweather fought the better version, at that stage.

He became lineal at 147 by beating Baldomir(lol) and never lost. Lineal at 130 over Hernandez, 135 over Castillo, 154 over Canelo (presumably vacant?). Where is the fifth?
