Good fight for De La Hoya. See where he's at.

Idk why people are complaining about this title. Its been around for 2 decades I think. Not new at all. And everyone knows the alphabet groups strategy with making up titles. This is standard operating procedure by them. Been going on forever. No reason to be mad about this title & not about the 5 to 7 "legit world" titles in weight divisions.

This is going to be a good fight, . Out of all of the young fighters out there Diego De La Hoya probably fights the toughest competition.

Agreed.. Ruiz is definately capable of beating De La Hoya.. And Diego is following in the footsteps of big cousin Oscar, fighting tough challenges early in his career..But Lets see if hes cut from the same cloth as Oscar though.

boxrec says Ruiz is 25 and the WBC youth website says the maximum age is 23 years and 11 months. Is Diego the only one eligible for the belt or am I misinformed?

Don't you have to be under 23 to fight for this belt?
