Wladimir Klitschko, the champion we need

Hate to break it to you but boxing doesn't belong to any country just like any other sport, it doesn't belong to one country it is a global world wide sport and fortunately for Wladimir he had the Germans who are lovely civilized people who took the Klitschko brothers in and treated them like stars.
The US can only get behind people who are actually from that country because there is certainly no way would Floyd be a PPV star If he was white Russian or any other nationality, Floyds choice of racism and rant tirades against other professionals is what the boxing world has turned into, you want a soap opera or a gossiping show you don't want to witness a great champion who has been dominating for several years now.
I know Its hard for you to take that the Americans can't produce a good heavyweight but the petty bias of your agenda that you try to hide is seen right through as clear as day, I just wish you could be honest with yourself.
If the germans did that fine. I am not from Germany but fromwhat I know about the history I can understand why wlad would appeal to many.
Floyd has been a great champion for years so you should understand why he has fans.
I could care less about if the US has produced a HWT champ. Wilder is a farce IMO and I have said so many times. Again, you are pretending that the problem is race when it isn't.
White folks in the US just do not like Wlad and never seem to have ever cared about him. That is no agenda, just the cold hard truth. Maybe now that wlad is in the US more and is putting on more watchable fights, fans may gravitate toward him.
Once he got KTFO a few times, fans got turned off.Comment

Wlad is the firs HW champ in history to rise in the full fledged interenet age. He's been facing the full fledged judgement of every boxing fan from day one. You don't think the HW champ of the world doesn't read you internet comments? You're going to tell me you never googled your own name online? You don't think the HW champ of the world is going to come to boxing forums to find out what boxing fans think of him? Wlad's been fighting the toughest competition all right, he's been trying his hardest to hold up this sport while fighting the world of damn near every one of detractors combined. You know those fans who bashed Tyson back in the day? Well it was tough for him I'm sure but at least Tyson had the luxury of not knowing what EVERY single one of them thought of him. You say Tyson fought bums? Okay well maybe he did or maybe he didn't but at least he had the luxury of not knowing he did. Imagine being told EVERY time you fight, that no matter who you fight, you're always fighting bums, ALWAYS. You're the super man, the champion of your sport, and you're being told you're fighting nobodies by your own people?
It's going to hurt, man. You think it hurts not having the champ you think you deserve in your lifetime, imagine being the champ of an entire sport and thinking your own people don't want you here. Even though there's no one better in sight, they reject you, just because they hate you. He's the ****ing champ. He's our champ. He's there because he should be there. He's there because he earned it. He's there because destiny ****ing said so.
You want to see Wlad knocked out so bad because you want to see the lineage preserved? You want to see that fine line of successive HW champs being preserved? You want to see him knocked out because of that? This man has been standing up to the full force of the internet for a generation of fight fans now. So Ali took on Frazier? Well Wlad took on the entire internet and he's still ****ing going. For most, to be the first champ to take that on and do it in your stride you would have cracked long ago. The Tyson 2.0 you wished for would have fallen asunder within a week. You wanted a messiah, well you got one, he's the Ice King.Comment

Underrated thread, people constantly give unfair criticism towards Wladimir in general both brothers get it.
Its very odd in my opinion to see two brothers of the sport being so absolutely dominant of the one divisions I can't recall that ever happening certainly not on the scale that the Klitschko brothers dominated.Comment

True, but the US is the mecca for boxing. It would be the similar to being the best US MLS pro soccer player but not getting much respect around the world because the best leagues are in Europe and South America.

Wladimir didn't represent boxing... nobody cares about the heavyweight division
Manny and Floyd are who people idolize in boxing atm
People want to see Wladimirs head taken off in the ring, its just a shame a prime Mike wasn't about to do it
People are savages at heart
People thought Tyson was invincible in the ring,he looked it at one point.no emotion just pure hatred and destruction on his mind
Wladimir looks like he let a sloppy joe off in his shorts when a punch misses his face by 6 inches
Tyson is what every fighter wishes they could be,Wladimir is a normal big guy with no killer instinct and so much fear
Tyson admitted he was scared before entering the ring but as he walked closer he gained more confidence and when he entered he believed he was a god and nobody belonged in there with him
Wlad would openly admit it took thousands of dollars worth of dry cleaning to get the stains out of his boss shorts after he fought HayeComment

Floyd on the number games has certainly been impressive it likely wont ever be matched any time soon but a lot of people will always bring up that point of when he faced that said fighter some defend that others don't but for an example Ray Mercer a fantastic fighter Wladimir KO's an old version of him I can accept that but could he have had that fight any more sooner that I'm not sure of that.
Point is when you look at Wladimir's career when its all over said and done the only thing he really could have done on more counts is be less tactical (less like B-hop and many other great fighters) and put on a show at the risk of losing because he did take the biggest fights available for the division as soon as he pretty much could.
LacedUp is right though the fact this will be a heavily dominated site with users primarily being state side that will have something to do with his popularity on here.Comment

True the US will be the biggest area for boxing I can accept that but on the sheer size it really is no wonder but its still nice to see your favourite fighters being within an area that you can realistically travel over to see them fight instead of being thousands upon thousands of miles away.

I do not think wlad can compare to the best HWT's ever and I think the division is currently trash but I always acknowledge wlad is a 1st ballot HOF'er and by far the best HWT in the world.
I can't understand what more you want from me, except maybe me liking him.Comment

It doesn't take away the fact that Wlad is not the face of boxing because he is too mortal looking with the fecal discharge he erupts everytime someone throws a punch at him
Comparing him to such an important icon in boxing like Iron Mike is ludacris,Tyson is who every fighter wants to be an absolute beast in the ring
You think people would want to be like Wladimir??? erupting so much fecal scent in a fight,I guess thats why he's not as popular because if the venue is smaller every spectator has the slight chance to smell Wlads farts when he is attacked in a small "hot boxed" venueComment
