When GGG's stock really started to rise it was because of his bold Ward proclamation . Now he's since backed away from his bold proclamation by adding catch weights to it . This is how and why the ire got sooo hot and steamy . So understand that the flak he's receiving is not totally undue as he's made a difficult bed for himself because he's offered boxing fans filet mignon , but when we arrived at the banquet he passed out steak em's . It's the ultimate bait and switch ! Even if he wants to fight Lemioux first , fine , but I think he needs to at least verbalize a commitment to fight Ward at 168
Are you serious mate?
Outside of hardcore boxing fans, NOBODY KNOWS WHO THE FUCK WARD IS. In his last fight, he had to give away tickets fill empty seats in his own home town, for crissake. It aired on free TV and only 350k people tuned in to watch it!
Ward's lack of fans and main stream recognition is exactly what Loeffler and Sanchez were talking about when they said that fighting him would not make financial sense until GGG became a name in his own right, and why HBO told both of them 2 years ago that they were not interested in funding it.
Since then, GGG has actually tried his best to avoid talking about Ward, and been called a duck and a coward because of that, so you can't have it both ways.
And does Ward owe Kovalev a verbal commitment to fight, because he has talked about doing it?

I dont agree that Ward/Golovkin will eventually happen.
Team Golovkin have a marketing plan, and it clearly dont include Ward.
EDIT: If all this were to fall into place, I doubt they will want to delay much longer. GGG & team will want to make this fight while he is still riding his momentum in the ring and with the fans, and before age begins to catch up with him.Just my guess though.

In that case you will suddenly hear Abel Sanchez and Loeffler budge from their positions and offer to move GGG to 168.

If GGG is left ruling the MW division after the dust settles, and Ward can make himself relevant again at 168, a fight between the two of them would be huge. As you say, too big for either of them to turn down.

This is why every reporter who tilts a mic his way always ask him something about Ward because of his proclamation and now he's imprisoned by it . Even tho Ward told him stop mentioning his name he really can't when u think about it because its the only thing that keeps this guys pulse beating . Without a Ward question , what else will they ask ? What flavored can r u fighting this week ? Do they even know his opponents names , besides Lemieux of course ?

There's a difference. For one GGG is not a big MW, he rehydrates less than Canelo.
Besides, Ward made Dawson come down to 168. But Ward can't comedown to 164, well maybe not, because he is a damn LHW. That's why you GGG haters want that fight. Just goes to show how feared GGG really is. But here are the differences between the weight GGG would fight Froch and Ward at.
For Froch, GGG could stay at 160 and likely win, for decent money. Same with Chevez. Ward walks around at 180, and is a LHW, it's smart for GGG not to jump up to SMW to fight a LHW. If you don't see that distinction, you don't want too.
Plus, Ward brings little to the table. He hasn't fought anyone in years, overweight bums notwithstanding. Ward doesn't bring a lot of money. And if GGG beat Ward, people like you would just claim 1. That Ward hadn't been the same fighter. 2. That GGG can beat a LHW, he has no business fighting the oh so sacred Canelo. (Just keep making excuses why these pretenders are ducking GGG. Canelo should go fight Ward then. Canelo rehydrates heavier than GGG. Yea, yea, logic is tough for these GGG haters.
As for Canelo Alvarez/Cotto not being MW, that's bull. They are fighting for the MW belt. Specifically Canelo, who rehydrates heavier than GGG.
I get it, you haters love to say GGG should fight a LHW, but no way can Canelo fight a guy who is actually smaller than him.
As for Floyd, first, he walks around saying he can beat GGG. That alone makes a matchup legit. Plus, Floyd calls himself the best ever. People want to see him fight someone who can actually cause damage, and do it while they are in their prime.
Floyd doesn't need to fight GGG. But if Cotto and Canelo want to walk around with the MW belt, they are going to have too man up.
Ward could have had GGG at 164, but didn't want it. He wants GGG while he is trying to stay in the 160 range.

U attempting to marginalize Ward doesn't change the facts that there's nothing notable on his résumé EXCEPT HIS POTENTIAL FIGHT WITH WARD , period ! So until he fulfills his proclamation I guess you'll continue to have ulcers . But please just tell me what exactly he's known for up to this point in time ? Maybe u do have a point but I just can't see it . And please don't tell me his notoriety comes from knocking over 20 cans in a row , cause I knocked over 25 all in one night last Saturday and didnt even get a honorable mention . And they were all Budweiser at that !
And can you remember who's name was being chanted by 18000 mostly Mexican fans after GGG KO'd Rubio, who was also Mexican, of course.

Damn, Ward has to rebuild his career. Why should GGG jump two ****ing divisions to fight Ward who walks around at 180, and would fight at 185-190 in that fight. GGG doesn't want to put on weig while he is trying to claims the mantle of the King of the MW.
I'm willing to bet as soon as GGG doesn't move up to SMW, suddenly Ward won't be able to make 168 anymore.
Ward has some decent past fights, but it was quite litter rally years ago. Ward had Dawson come down to 168, but GGG didn't try to force Ward down to 160, they gave him a 50/50 split at 164. Ward bulked.
GGG is in the precipice of being a much bigger finger than Ward, and he is already bigger.
Ward does little for GGG other than give the MW' s more excuses to duck him.
