The problem Pigeons is balancing maximizing revenue for each fighter with what is best for the fans. A tourney would be great and I have been begging for one for a while.

I would love to see them work a 4 way between LSC/Frampton/Selby and Russell. I think you'd have to do Russell/LSC in LA or Vegas and Frampton/Selby somewhere in the northeast or Chicago.

As for Arum, once Nonito lost it drastically changed the money. Nonito was a good draw and with him losing it makes it harder to draw interest outside of hardcore boxing fans.

He was going to but Walters failed to make weight and lost his belt. Looks like he's now going to campaign at 130.

Crazy how quick the power balance shifted from TR to PBC at featherweight. At least half these fights need to be made by the middle of next year.

Didn't Hoya attempt to make the LSC vs Rigo fight happen? It was blocked by Haymon and LSC was advised to break away from GBP.

Instead of Walters fighting a bum on HBO and Lomachenko fighting a bum on a PPV undercard, they should have went straight to Walters-Lomachenko. Letting that fight sit in Arum's jar of marinade killed an explosive matchup, just like Gamboa-Lopez.

Haymon needs to learn from this. No need to match his FWs vs. bums. Make these fights now. Santa Cruz-Cuellar and Russell Jr.-Selby. Winners fight each other. Winner fights Rigondeaux as he should be with Haymon by then.

            Are you interested?

They were coming off the biggest wins of their respective careers. Walters by all accounts wasn't ready for a big fight because he partied too much or whatever. You're just looking for petty excuses to bash Arum. That is your sole purpose on here along with sucking off Haymon. Must be sad being you.

Yes obviously I'm interested in those fights. Do I see them happening straight away? Nope.

                OP is completely lost hahahahahahahaha.

walters vs donaire is better than anything al haymon has made at the lower weights. where was santa cruz vs frampton at 122 unification????? now santa cruz has completely avoided all the top names at 122. not to mention haymon has his guys all avoid rigo.

exactly. and lomachenko called out walters but walters' team weren't interested at the time because they felt loma was still too inexperienced.

I suspect we'll see some of these fights. PBC seems to be putting on about 1 big, top ten guys, fight per month pretty much & this division is ripe with some respectable top ten guy fights to be made. PBC should be easily able to throw some of these guys together to keep their consistency going.

I must say I root against a tournament unless its a simple 4 man tournament in any division. I think tournaments are kinda a hassle at the elite level in boxing & anything beyond a 4 man tournament takes too long & can lock out other elite fighters for too long.

It's hard for Al to make some matchups because I truly believe some of his fighters rather take a good payday against someone tailored for them. Why fight someone who's in thier prime and a legit threat when there's a name who's not the same and obviously declining?
