They could of put it on Showtime like Leonard-Finch was on HBO then they even showed it on ABC a week later.

Nowadays its Showtime PPV then put it on Showtime a week later.

After defeating Joe Frazier in the rumble in the jungle, 4 months later Ali fought Jean-Pierre Coopman (24-3).

Sugar Ray Leonard, 4 months after defeating Roberto Duran, fought Larry Bonds (29-3) Larry fckin Bonds lol

      Point is:

After being in these huge megafights that are so mentally and physically taxing, even all-time greats such as Ali and Leonard took fights against what we might consider lesser opposition.

So nobody should do what Duran did and fight Hearns and Hagler back to back?

        Duran was at Middleweight too.

Edit: He even went from Barkley to Sugar Ray back to back

Sugar Ray Robinson went from Graziano to Joey Maxim.

Oh but Mayweather is better than Robinson, right?

That's why Duran is considered a great fighter. Greater than floyd anyways.

Your argument was that they were mentally and physically taxing, they were both.

Why would you take on an ATG after facing another ATG when you just lost?

That's even harder than what Floyd is doing even harder considering that was at Middleweight for Duran.

Yes....the anger is not the opponent but the shameless money grab. A soft touch is one thing, a pig with lipstick in it is another.
