I guess no one else saw the sloppiness . Mares was ineffectively reckless sadly it was his fight to loose, and Santa Cruz did his usual energizer bunny stint he did get hit less than usual I thought. The crazy flurries looks good, but if any real effective power shots would have been landing at the rate those two where throwing, no way that **** would have gone to 12.

just watched the main event, didn't see the rest of the card. It was a good fight, Cruz showed how good he can be against smaller, shorter fighters because of his natural advantages and superior jab. Played out just like I said it would.

But it was hardly a great or classic, forget the whole Haymon thing, I actually felt Khan v Algieri was better if we're keeping with Haymon made fights. What would have elevated the bout is if there was real back and forth but beyond the close first 3 rounds, it was all Cruz.

Mares might need to move back down in weight, just too small for feather.

Good, solid fight. I enjoyed it. Santa Cruz boxed well and used his physical advantages to control the fight. I'm ready to see him take the next step now.
