The judge who scored the fight a draw was CJ Ross in disguise. Ha! Ha!

I must've been watching a completely different fight than everybody else. I didn't see Santa Cruz dominate like the rest of you seem to have.
I don't think a draw is too far fetched but idk, I'll probably re-watch and re-score the fight.
Can't stand that lesbian looking f**ker Santa Cruz,.
If anything was a "classic" it was Ceja vs. Ruiz. Excellent fight. I'd like to see Ceja or Ruiz vs. Frampton,.

So where does this leave both fighters? LSC is still champion tier with the win, but is Mares just a name now or is he still a top contender?

I saw a close but sloppily contested exciting slugfest. Neither guy separated himself from the other guy in almost any round of that fight. No need for the commentators to keep crying about May 2 either.

Lol I'm with you. Respect to Leo for the win though.
Either Ceja or Ruiz vs Frampton would be amazing. Or if Mares drops back down he can challenge Frampton as well, that would be another great match up.
For now, don't mind me....

I have seen a lot of great fights involving Mexican warriors in my years of watching boxing. This was not one of them! Mares and Santa Cruz looked like a couple of B-class brawlers slugging away at each other
There is nothing wrong with that, but you shouldn't call a mediocre slugfest a great war. Joe Tessitore and Teddy Atlas sounded like Jim Lampley and Max Kellerman tonight in the sense that they were trying to convince fans that the bs they were feeding us was actually filet mignon.

When I heard Joe Tessitore blurt out "More action in the first round then 36 minutes on May 2nd!", I had a chuckle.
