Respectfully disagree. And, I'm not going to get into a debate about the Taylor fight.
I love Sanchez, but i disagree.
I'm well versed in boxing. I gave stats to you. I don't need boxingrec. It would tell me what I already know. I do think it's a disservice to say Chavez is overrated. The dude was flat out dominant with or without his wins against "Mexican cab drivers". Tell me the truth; is this Greg Haugen?
There is nothing to debate about the Taylor fight, Don King up to his old dirty tricks, like JCC said "Don King is my father".
You can disagree all you like about Sanchez, the fact is his wins are better than JCCs, by a long margin, who did JCC beat that matches an undefeated Wilfredo Gomez and Azumah Nelson? I'll be waiting.
You're not well versed enough then because the guy was beating up nobodies for a big majority of his career you can stay blind to that fact all you want but it doesn't mean it's not true.
The dude was dominant against nobodies and then got exposed in his biggest fights. When your biggest wins are Roger Mayweather and Camacho, you don't belong in any discussion about ATGs.
Tell me the truth; is this one of JCCs side chicks?
what's all this about Sanchez or Lopez even being comparable to the great Chavez? Seriously, El Grande Campion has more championships, longer reigns, more fights, more wins, more KOs and superior resumes. Sanchez gets romanticised cos he died early and Lopez is the hipster choice, where guys are like "ya know, I'm gonna name this tiny fighter who only real fans would have watched"...not realising that Lopez is quite well appreciated in this day and age and is no longer the counter/cool choice.

which point was I wrong about? How many championships have Sanchez and Lopez won as opposed to Chavez? Can you honestly, hand on heart, say either man has a superior resume to Chavez? Sanchez was possibly a more spectacular fighter to watch and Lopez a more "correct", technical surgeon at times but neither man fought at the level Chavez did for as long as he did.
Counter those points rather than making childish comments. Try shut me up with boxing knowledge, not blunt barbs.
P.S. I'm not saying either of Lopez or Sanchez weren't good or even great. Sanchez was tremendous from what I've seen of his fights and Lopez was a well schooled, wily old pro who could get wins when he needed to. But they do not and can not be compared to Chavez. Who knows, if Salvador had carried on boxing into his late 20s and then 30s, he may have surpassed Chavez but it didn't happen and we don't have to romanticise him for it.
Coming second fiddle to Chavez is not bad, not bad at all.
