hbo invests in ggg because they know he's willing to get in the ring with the best and there's evidence of that because he's tried to fight martinez, cotto, lee, quillin, sturm, pirog, etc...and now he's fighting lemeiux and canelo cotto winner while on the otherhand there's ward who has turned down bute, stevenson, froch, degale and tries to fight truax, sartison, paul smith, and zac dunn. see the difference?

Yet when a Ward/ggg fight could have been made, team ggg passed

But Ward's fans still use the Super Six, this old, stale justification just to keep Ward sounding like he is legitimate when he has not had a decent fight since that tournament ended. If his fans can fall back on that tournament, the ONLY decent opponents he has on his resume, then the rest of us can use that same tournament as the basis of our criticism of his fighting style. It is not like we have two or three fights per year to base anything on because he only fights once every 24 months or so.

Wards last A list opponent was a couple of years ago but ggg has never faced even one. This at age 33

It will be awesome to the #2 P4P fighting on the night, it would really enchance the card. Seeing Ward put his elite skills on display and improving his unbeaten record would be nice, especially against an elite 168lber, which is possible giving the Cotto-Canelo PPV will almost certainly do over 1 million PPV's.

Of course if Mayweather, who never got a real KO in 8 years and will almost certainly go the distance whenever he fights, fought on the undercard everybody would be MEGA and say the card would be crazy-unreal-off the hook.

But for some reason Ward doesn't get the same respect. Despite the fact that he is the undisputed #1 King at 168lbs, #2 P4P and is IMO the only man who can beat Kovalev at 175lbs.

Boxing is always on the NOW , the resume you can take to the Hof Ballot , you make money now , you fight the big fights now , i dont give a damn about 4 years ago , he has great resume , so what , he isnt fighting anyone of relevance since he came back and seems like he got no intention of doing so , i am OK with that as he is only screwing Roc due to probably some guarrante money , but the fans should stop it , really..... the guy does not want to fight elite again... GGG is just a name he uses to keep relevant , he could fight so many other SMW but refuses too , but you guys just wont judge him the way you seem to judge a MW who wont go up to fight a guy which basically is out of the boxing world for 4 years....

Golovkin: Stays really active and fights anyone. Stevens, Murray and lots of others are credible opponents and he takes all comers. Is now slated to fight a very dangerous fighter and is happy about it. = Not a ducker.

Ward: Every fight negotiation is painful and drawn out. Likes to fight at home, does catchweights, hardly ever fights, fights extremely limited (not even what you could call 'fringe) fighters. Is not even that good - still living of of 3 fights, Kessler (headbutts), Froch (closer than everyone recalls, but a good, boring clinching win anyway) and Dawson, (severely drained, and since proven to be quite beatable). He is a glass chinned princess who won't fight any of the following anytime soon.

Golovkin, DeGale, Groves, Andre Dirrell, Kovalev, Beterbiev, Steveson. Of those, all have a decent chance to win and the first one and the last three I would put huge money on to beat ol' glass chin princess.

Andre Ward is 2 years younger than Golovkin and has 4 wins (Kessler, Abraham, Froch, Dawson) better than Golovkin's best win (Murray).

I hope Ward lands on the undercard, that adds a ton of value to the PPV for me. Put him in there with Adonis, Pascal, Dirrell, Stieglitz - he just needs to fight more to get a really good fight with Kovalev built up.
