Comments Thread For: Berto: This Fight Was Supposed To Happen 2 or 3 Times

LOS ANGELES – – Two-time welterweight world champion Andre Berto (30-3, 23 KOs) participated in a media workout at the J.W. Marriott at L.A. Live as he prepares for the biggest fight of his career. In front of an enthusiastic crowd, Berto looked focused and in great shape, jumping rope and shadowboxing, as he looks to become the first fighter to defeat 12-time world champion Floyd “Money” Mayweather (48-0, 26 KOs), on Saturday, Sept. 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas live on SHOWTIME PPV® (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT).

But then you got the shit beaten out of you by guys you were expected to beat. I guess after the 3rd time of it happening they figured 'what the hell, he's not getting any better, may as well just give him the fight anyway before he loses again'.

I would love to tell Berto why it didn't happen 2 to 3 times and hope he don't get that funny look on his face after.

Again this is the first time Berto has been the underdog in a fight..ever.

Who knows how Berto will perform without the expectation or pressure of winning on his shoulders.
