I think that is the fight that happens but he must ko Canelo. HBO just signed Canelo and they are not going to let Cotto win if it goes to a decision just to leave and fight Floyd on showtime. They will do anything in their power to stop that from happening.

Also Cotto declined a contract from HBO because of this very reason and the most he gave them was a verbal agreement to fight Canelo after Geale. After Canelo is all fair game and Cotto will most likely look for a Floyd fight. You have to think it would do even better numbers than the first one.

It goes without saying they would allow it. Floyd has been WBC in almost every class he has been in, they would welcome the sanction fees.

Yep whats 3% of Mayweather vs Cotto purses vs 3% of Cotto vs GGG purses? I'm guessing a conservative estimate is 3x-4x more for Mayweather vs Cotto. So what makes more sense for the WBC, making $3M or $750k-$1M? Oh but GGG will be guaranteed a shot at the winner I'm sure lol.
